The pictures don't do it justice.

Gentlemen until you see these turbos in person you can't begin to fathom their beauty or INSANE capability. The BIG turbo is big enough that if you were to stand it on the end of it's exhaust housing and place a basketball on the compressor inlet; you could still see the turbo around the basketball's eclipse. :D

Hey Mark...?

Neat ideas, glad to see that some one has the ability to put thoughts into things :D Ok, so o-rings are out, c-rings in, what about the bottom end, and how many RPM are you planning on? :D :)

I just think it's sad how many MONTHS this truck has been in one shop or another over the last year.

I would love to see this truck at the track or on a dyno between shop visits so we could see who walks the walk and who just talks too much.

The truck has a Piers stoopid pump'd 24v with a ???? and ??? ???valve train with nice aftermarket ???, ported head (by Piers), Piers cam, fly cut pistons that are ceramic and moly coated and the bottom end is balanced.

Beyond the tubos are big fuel lines 5" exhaust, NOS with a progresive controller, and methanol/water injection. Big traction bars out back on a loaded 2500 4x4 QC SWB DTT prepped auto(billet in and out , of course)

There are no stones unturned.

RPM?? thats up to the customer. Me, I'll rev it hard enough to test it but not enough to break it. . hopefully:D:D:D

All in good time...

The short block is being assembled. The head is ready.

As soon as we get it back in the truck the fabrication begins. Hopefully next week.

besides they're Mac's :p:D

Hey, with expensive goodies like this, we can start to compete with the poor guys who drive Powerstrokes. Can you say $2000+ for a set of stock injectors?? :-laf:-laf:-laf

Newgate = $695?! Now we're getting into Greddy's price range.

What makes this one so much better than a Racegate (@$428) ?

The Racegates are rated for like 1200hp for single turbo use... .

A totally new concept from Turbonetics! The NewGen's swing valve design is unique for a remote type of wastegate that offers a clear exhaust path to regulate gases (as opposed to a poppet type wastegate) to maintain and control operating boost pressure. The NewGen wastegate features V-band type connection, a billet cap, a cast stainless base, and a 2" inconel swing valve and has the capability to control 1000+ HP. During R&D testing, the NewGen wastegate outflowed the nearest competitor by 50%.

This high flow wastegate will control engines that develop 900+ HP, with a 1. 625" (42mm) stainless steel valve and the proven Deltagate actuator. "Boost Creep" is practically eliminated. Fully adjustable with the Variable Boost Control Regulator.

Good gravy!!

Billet, Inconel, stainless, v-band connections..... it's built like a brick crap house!

I rest my case..... I hereby retract my question of why it's so much bread.

mummn matt new gen or other 'gate mummn maybe other gate for regular truck and new gate for race truck ?. . mummmnnnn

looks good mark ,my only ? is are the intercoolers going to hold the pressure?... from what i've heard on the intercooler idea. . is any thing much over 100 psi breaks the intercoolers? and to get the most out of the boost water injection is is fail safe compared to breaking intercoolers ?... basically the reson the tractor puller don't run intercoolers? am i missing something?'' id like to find out if you guys have figured out how to do it with intercoolers?... . im always trying to learn as much as i can

later

FWIW:

The Spearco assembled units are WAY more beefy than the OEM units made by Valeo (the OEM for Dodge, Ford, VW... . many others... ). If Joe Q. Public buys Spearco cores and end tanks and assembles them himself - who knows what it'll hold.....

At 180psi... all bets are off.

I have seen OEM Dodge units fail from 55-70+psi... . so they're not all that stout.

When I rupture my first OEM Valeo/Dodge IC..... It's hitting the scrap can and I'll run all water injection.
