Front fender sound blockers (one in each front fender) are installed for both blocking engine noise and keeping dust from entering cab. After 4 or 5 years, they become brittle, shrink and become usless. I have the replacements for them and the dealer parts person advised to buy some clips that appear to hold them in place.

When I asked how the clips work and where do they go, the reply was; I dont know.

Has anyone used these, and how do the clips hold the the parts in place??

If you are talking about the fender liners (inboard of the wheel) they are held on by those black plastic thingies that have a big round head and a multi barbed business end. Get em at your hardware store or Home Depot, Lowes.

No about fender liners - the ones i'm talkin about are in the fenders. With the door & hood open, look into fender from cab. If you see light, there not in place. The ones on my truck were laying sideways and you could see light from under hood. The material is sponge rubber and it just plain shrunk to the point that they need replacing.
