Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Starting with one battery ?

I have a 97 and have been doing some work on it and it's together enough to start it but I only have one good battery at the moment. Will it start with just one and if yes, will it hurt anything. I know it's hard for one battery but other than that, can I do it? I just need to move the truck and don't plan on driving it this way but I'm not able to buy a new pair of batteries today... .

It will start and drive just fine on one battery. You just have less cranking power.

Thanks! My main concern was if the the front seal was going to hold... . and it did. Had some trouble installing it and wasn't sure it was going to be ok but it was. Also we needed to move the vehicle too so that's the main reason for asking the question.
