Anyone else with this problem? Whenever I put a CD in it says "error" and will not play. It started out once in a while and now won't play at all. The rest of the radio works fine. We don't have many radio stations out here and I kind of miss it. By the way it is the AM/FM/Cassette/CD model. Did you get it fixed and where or did you just buy a replacement.

Try to find a CD cleaner disc, it will have small brushes on the bottom. If this does not help, you will need to open up the radio and clean the lense. Some radios are spot welded shut and cannot be serviced easily?

The CD cleaner disks worked for a little while, then quit helping. #@$%! When I get time I will pull it out and see if I can get it apart. If I can, would I just clean the head with rubbing alchohol and a Qtip or do I need special cleaning fluid? Do you know if there are any multi disk changers that may plug into this radio? Thought that may be an option. I don't know much about them. I assume they have a player head in them and just send a signal to the radio? Thanks

Cd Player Won't Play

Is it all cd's or just home recorded ones. My old 2001 would rarely play a home made one, but always factory discs.

Mine does it with all discs, just push the cd in with a ink pen & it should work. They don't go in all the way for some reason.

Just get an XM radio - - Haven't had a CD in the radio since I got the XM in December of 2001

Know this wasn't the kinda' help you were looking for - but Oh well!
