Stuck bleeder screw/plugged bleeder screw

I am trying to flush the brake system on my 90 D350. One beeder screw is frozen... on the rear. One of the bleeder screws on the front is free, but plugged some how and will not let brake fluid past. The other two work as they are supposed to. Any suggestions? Can one get just a bleeder screw, to replace the plugged one? and if I get the other one out???



Or do I just run it until they rust up and then spend the big $$ that I am trying to avoid?

the plugged one may be able to clean it out if you completely remove it and attack the holes with a small drill bit, or you can get a new one from the parts store. bring the old one to match up.

the stuck one, have you tried heat on it? sometimes a little torch action can get things apart, if it is real bad, you may end up replacing the wheel cylender. and the hard line that is also rusted into it. and the rubber line with the t on the axle.....

I thought about heat for the stuck one, and your suggestion gives me enough cause to give it a try. Also glad to hear that a parts store will have a replacement. . thanks for your imput, I will have at it.

Jason, before you round off the hex on the bleeder, hit it flush on the end with a hammer, you will ruin it but then it will come out, use a six point socket. Then get a new one. "Edit', you hafta hit it hard so as to stretch the threads and break the rust.

Not sure how I can Hit it squarely with the spring pack in the way... . but If it comes to that, I will give it a try.
