At what point do I need to look at running different studs, and possibly a different hg, I am seeing about 35 psi of boost on a good up hill or if i really get on it. This is all with an empty truck too. Also should i be looking for a little bit bigger turbo as well? #6 fuel plate, BHAF, 5" exhaust, timming I am just looking for some imput before i find myself on the side of the road.

I just did studs on my truck. . Did I need to do them. . well maybe and maybe not. I have twins and 110 injectors but the system has blow off valves of 50lbs. The studs were put in as maybe an insurance policy instead of a need. There are guys that run the stock gasket and stock head bolts and they see 45-50lbs of boost. . with no problems.

With your boost numbers I dont think so... I would say that when you start seeing 45lbs or so you might think about it. .

HX40/35 hybrid running 44-46 psi boost for 2 years now on stock bolts and gasket. I'm probably running on the edge with my set up but you'll be fine at 35 psi. I wouldn't be too concerned until your in the 40's. As for the turbo, the stock unit is good to 35-36 psi - then it generates more heat than cooling. I found HTT stage 3 to be a good upgrade for the money. Do you need to upgrade?? Well, how's the EGTs?

Of course depending on your power addiction, you may need all of the above... :-laf
