Summit Exhaust

Can this system from Summit be installed if one does not have cutting torch or welder???

How many clamps are needed. ????

Ray

The install is fairly easy. . and the muffler is straight thru with a baffles. I really like the way it sounds. . and I did go with the muffler.

Bringing this back to the top.

Anytime a member can save $100. 00 or more on a part is worth bringing it back for those who missed it the first time around.

Christmas is comeing.

I am guessing here but if it would they would probably have said 98 and up :D

My guess is it will fit 94-02 trucks. They are probably trying to avoid legal issues with people removing catalytic converters on 12 valve trucks.

That's what I thought when I bought my Banks. The tailpipe hanger will need to updated to the later Dodge part and you'll need a couple more of those rubber hangers. The whole thing (with bolts) set me back less than $20 at my local dealership.

The other mounts are the same.

I am running that flo pro system its a 4 inch turbo - tailpipe and it is quiet in the cab and sounds good and deep outside. I bougt it from a muffler whare house I deliver to for work and they make systems for ford and chevy also eveything you need in the box went together great, I think I paid 375 and my friend did his 2001 powerstroke also it sounded good. were happy and it was a good price until this summit deal. I guess we will have to wait and see . javascript:smilie('')

eek!

I checked inventory on the Summit website, and they are backordered until Feb 03 - I wonder if this thread had anything to do with that? :D

:{ :{ and I don't even have my order in yet.

Seriously at this point I cannot decide 4" exhaust or stacks, I'am leaning more toward stacks though, I have always wanted them ever since the little red truck came out in "I think 1978".

Ron

I found this site... ..... looks like they sell everything from straight pipe in 4" and 5" to the same in Y pipes, various bends, elbows etc... ...

Air Flow Systems

I have not actually sat down and figured it up yet but seems to me you could assemble your own 4 or 5 inch system for a reasonable price.

I am seriously thinking of creating a dual 5" system using the parts they have there to replace my current dual setup seen in sig line... ... .

I did, you won't beat 299$ or your preferded system from your favorite vendor. Lowest price is not always the best deal.

Glenn

I guess that why the thread is for a 4" system!:p You can build a 5" that dumps in front of the rear wheel for less than 300$ tho... ... ... . dual 5", your on your own dude! LOL

Uhhhhhhh that was the point Glenn... ..... a reasonable source for the do it yourselfer... ... . be it 4 or 5 inch... ... . Since you seem to be searching for someone to argue with I believe I will let you have this thread though lol

Flo Pro

:) Well I have my 4" Flo Pro installed and it does sound fine. No louder in the cab but a little louder outside. It sounds real deep when you are in cruse control and start a pill up a hill. I'm making a test on this tank of gas to see if it even helped the milage a little. Trying to do do very controled driving, no hot rod stuff. :D

Well I can see I have to watch my spelling "pull' not pill and it was not "do do" just do.

Tank of diesel fuel too. Not gas.

I don't think the spell check will catch it if you put gas instead of diesel. :D

If you start talking about do do on here you will get Whitmore excited.
