I dropped my truck off yesterday. I will pick it up today. It had 4 pending recalls, steering column wire, side airbag, track bar(?) mounting and SCR. They said it would take awhile so they kept it. They gave me a rental, wound up with a Jeep Compass. Very nice car, has the MultiAir 4 cylinder. I was surprised how smooth it is, never would have guessed it was a 4 cylinder until I opened the hood. I'll report back on the truck.

The track bar mount is what takes forever out of all the recalls. They have to weld a plate, for lack of a better term, and once done they have to get the repair certified and then check alignment. I had this done on mine when I got it. Was told at that time the FCA certifier was behind on his visits. The T05 takes about two hours BUT they add a couple of hours for cool down time. Nice to here you were offered a car. Mine just offered to take me to work via shuttle driver.. (sigh)

partly correct- If ammonia sensor and module are not present, Service Bulletin (TSB)
18-088-15 was previously completed on this vehicle. No further action is
required. Return the vehicle to the customer, this recall is complete

When I picked my truck up, this was mentioned BUT I was also told that sensor or not, they were given the parts from SCA so they were still replacing the SCR's on all that were brought in.

Well, going on day 6 with the SCR replaced and ECM reprogrammed because of removal of the ammonia sensor. So far, so good. Nothing really seems to have changed. No drop in MPG's, heck might have even come up a point or three. Acceleration is still great and with Tow / Haul on shifts are still nice and smooth.. As far as parts changed, my sheet looks exactly the same as the one previously posted.

I had the T05 and T25 done this morning. The advisor told me it would take less than 3 hours so I decided to wait. They were done in 2.5 hours. My dealer has done quite a few already so they are pretty quick.

All those new converters must be costing FCA a bundle. Truck runs fine, no codes or anything.

You have a good shop. I don't know the actual time it took them from in the shop to out the door but I did ask about waiting on it. I was told at that time about the "necessary cool down time" before the repairs could be done.. Oh well,, my Wife was nice enough to drop me off and take me to work and then pick me up to get the truck.. I in return picked up Chili's for dinner. <LOL>

My 2013 Cummins Was getting the Mandatory T05, the Tech replaced the entire SCR form DPF to T.P.... FCA Instructions call for the Ammonia module removal and cut the Harness. I said to the Tech You cut that harness and you will be looking for a New Job ( He's a good friend of mine for years) Heeheee . It was all Replaced and the second you power up the System BUS cannot, do to the module sensor that's in the new SCR removed, He could NOT flash the ECM with the New Software that does NOT use the sensor, So he call me , We thought Maybe the Dealership Network was the problem so I went and Got My WItech and log in on My account ,No go... So he had to put the WHOLE old SCR Back on (I helped) and We are waiting on FCA to come up with the fix.... T05 5 months old 2013 3500 1 Year on 2013-15 2500, Needless to say if He would have cut that Harness the Truck would be Dead until FCA fix the system.

We'll snojob I figured it would not take long for you to jump in, Those Hooks in your jaw must hurt profusely . FCA has now fixed the Problem! We will be trying again tomorrow. If Your like snojob, and questioning the truthfulness of the Matter , Call 763-421-8000 Ask for Nick B Shop Manager. Mention TC Diesel or My Name and Nick will confirm it occurred and has happen to other owners, I thought I was on Snojob ignored list ,Sorry that Members and Readers need to deal with humans that question other member(s) Integrity even thou they have impeccable virtue.

Heehee Ornery This vehicle in 4.2 Years of Service has NEVER displayed a CEL , the Only service performed other than PM, RECALLS, TSB is the Intank module failed at 235 miles.

Also You can thank this truck for the Fuel/heater Flashes, TSBs. When the in tank Module failed I replaced the Module with OE and install the auxiliary filtration system I checked the filter heating elements manualy and they would NOT work June 13 , I notified Ram of this and FCA investigated and found it to be software related undetected and turned off....If it was not for this truck the fix would have NOT BEEN available in NOV 13 for Recall and turn on...If you use the search You will see I shared this problem and Fix Here at the TDR DEC 1 2013 way before the TSB or Recall was released. 1000s of owners were able to get this fix before winter. 2013-14 was extremely cold in Midwest and south east, it was -18 Here Blaine MN Dec 6 2013.

Unfortunately theirs NO stop button for viewer / member YOU don't want to read info your labor , resources and efforts benefits.

Thanks Todd, I can verify that because of your posts I found a number of problems on my 3rd gen and was made aware of fixes needed on my 4th gen.

You also made me worry on a winter trip when I found out my rear fuel heater was turned off and I was camped in below zero weather. I had no problem at the time because I did have winterized fuel in the tank but I couldn't help worrying a little.

I just pick it up, I didn't have time to get the details, but form the 1st visit it was software communications. Because the sort did not have any options to update the PCM (Part#).

Sounds like you may have been concerned about your mods effecting the recall, given you did not want them to cut the sensor lead before they got the update loaded. Or are you a psychic, knowing there would be a problem before hand?

Yep.. Sojob Any thinking person with decades of experience would not want that harness cut.... So Job , do you own WITECH? They have been having problems with the system. Did you pick up the phone and call Nick... I doubt it, that requires more effort than keystrokes..Do you have any meaningful insight to share with the members and readers form your vast wealth of Knowledge on the T05? Or is this just another one of your attempts to incite deception and Drama to draw attention to yourself.

I think you have quieted him down. I too have called him out on his misinformation, and bashing of products he really knows nothing of.

You joined in 2016, I joined in 2001 when I bought my second RAM/Cummins. First one was in was a year old used 93 in 1994, were you even born then? TCDiesel was foolish enough to let things from the political section spill over to this area. SnoKing
