Just checked the ivy bluff website... $20 hook fee!?!?!?! I have no chance of winning, but if someone will lend me the apparatus that goes in my receiver hitch so's I can pull..... HOOK HER UP!!

In that case, if you need to let someone know that I'll be pullin, go ahead and let 'em know. I'm firm for being there, and firm for pulling (barring some absoloute catastrophe of course).

I'll have my atv in the bed... been trying to sell her. Maybe someone at the pull will see it and decide that they must have it. ;)

I'd like to come earlier than 5. . Are ya'll planning on caravaning over to the pull at 4 or 5 or what time? I thought that gap'n'them were not getting there till later, but I may be wrong. If they are going earlier, I can just caravan with them... not sure if they are bringing two or three CTD's either... . Would like to see his pop's '03 dually with the edge box, but they may be leaving it behind. Although I can't imagine why.

Can you whip out another list real quick of the attendeees... or update the one that's out there?

Yeah, come as early as you like, we'll probably head over to the pull around 5, to get premium trackside parking.

Day of the pull ONLY call me on GF's cell 615-542-1957. Yes go ahead and write that down, in case you get lost or delayed (like you stopped to help a 6. 0):p

Duramax guy from 'Bama just contacted me, hasn't committed yet.

Nick won't be able to get here until 7-ish, so that takes care of us pulling first. I'll let Barry know. Think I might give the ford boys a call too.

Hey! Can't wait to get up there and pull on saturday. I'm trying to see if we can't leave here about 2:30pm. that would have us there in time to pull first. think that they would let us pull in the middle? it's a points pull though isn't it. Ya'll are more than welcome to come to our pull next weekend if you'd like. it's on the fourth of oct. I'll let you know what we come up with on what time we'll be there. Nick

I don't know if it's a points event or not. It was just thrown together over the last month and a half. Land purchased, cleared, etc. But I don't know why they couldn't put us in the middle of a points pull. I'll wait until tomorrow to run that by Barry. First/last/middle that is.

Hey ya'll bring chairs and cameras and video eq. Should be some smoke happening and you'll need the chair for here and there.

I borrowed a Weber grill today, we can cook out before AND after. The Weber will work a little better than my smoker grill.

And back to the DIRECTIONS to my house. For those wanting to turn off on Hollow Springs Road (no sign) it is 5. 5 miles from Woodbury. That means the mailboxes nearby will be 54xx numbers.

BEWARE the mapping programs, some are WAY off on my location. Let me go look up a good one.

Okay if you go to mapsonus.com and put in 190 Petty Gap Rd, Woodbury, TN 37190 -then it shows about where my house is. My real box number is 591, but the map people put that too far down the road (about four tenths). IF YOU LOOK AT that map forget the "Sheybogan Road" crap, it's called "Hollow Springs" all the way to 53.

i'll post tomorrow with all my info. scared up any FORDS yet?

Mark: I've got an old target, full of water--weighs about 120#, but we can hang it up somewhere and you can fling away. My bow ain't even here. AND have your favorite vendor OVERNIGHT some injectors to my house and we'll stick 'em in!

Nick: KOOL, That's why I waited before telling Barry. I'll talk to him tomorrow. I didn't get home in time to rattle the ford boys. But I can make a couple of calls tomorrow. Maybe I'll go post on their site. :D

I still have two trucks coming. We (Dad, brother and posse) are meeting at my work here is nashville at about 2:00 tomorrow. We are caravaning from here if ya wont to come Andy. Game plan

The event organizer wants to run us as early as possible, so that'll pretty much be determined by how early/late Nick gets his crew over here. Of course, being a first time event, first class might not be until 7--I've never seen one start ON TIME. But it officially starts at 6.

They're going to "open the gates" at 4, so in order to get good trackside spectating position, we should run at least two trucks over there at that time--and leave them. That's the reward for not pulling--you get to be a spectator vantage point. I'll volunteer my truck and Mark's- depends on who can get here that early. That'll give us a little "ridin" time before the event.

More Directions: If you're coming up from Manchester and going directly to the pull, start looking for "Hollow Springs Church of Christ" (big red brick on the left) after you cross into Cannon County (just after HWY 280). The turn off you want is 1/2 mile past the Church and on the RIGHT. There is a "Polled Hereford" sign up abouve the Ivy Bluff Pull sign. That is Ivy Bluff Road, it does lots of twisting and turning, but eventually gets you there.

And in case of a big downpour, they have worked out alternative parking and a hay-wagon shuttle. :p

WADE IS THE MAN!

First off, let me say that WADE IS THE MAN!

Here's the story... As with any big outing, there's always one idiot who screws himself out of getting to participate in the fun... I THOUGHT it was gonna be me this time. I was trying to perform the simple task of removing my silencer ring. Long story short, it was a big "no workie" (a little spanish for you), and the truck was throwing codes. Panicked, and as a last resort, I called Wade. He managed to calm me and resolve the crisis.

There was no real point to posting this silly story other than to give some credit where credit is due.

Thanks WADE!

You saved a newbie, and gave me some slick tricks for the future!

see you guys in a few hours.

/abg

De nada (you're welcome). Glad we worked it out. See Ya'll after the front moves through.

And HEY BOYS! bring a jacket or sweatshirt, going into the high 40's tomorrow night.
