Yeah, that's why I can't sled pull, the center might come out of the itty bitty 12. 25 clutch. for the cost of the upgrade to a 13--I'll be doing a twin-disc next time.

A few 6-speeds made it to market in '99 and '00 on ETC trucks and they have the smaller input. ---Didn't you KNOW my truck was SPECIAL?:D ;)

edit~~ I'm going backwards

I've got drums on the rear AND spindles from a 98 3500 up front!

Does TN Have a Chapter yet?

Hey guys I'm from Middle Tennessee too. However, I'm always in Memphis through the week but on weekends I'm usually in my hometown of Hohenwald. Maybe someone's heard of it. LOL.

I was wondering if you guys ever got together or if there was an official chapter started for Tennessee members.

If there isn't a chapter, I'd like to start one if anyone would like to help get everything organized. I was debating on whether to join a northern Mississippi chapter with me being in Memphis all the time but I'd rather have some people I know close to home. There's one other guy from the Hohenwald/Hampshire area that has a 3/4 ton CTD that would probably be interested in joining a chapter if one was started. Don't know if I could get him to join the TDR though.

Somebody gimme some details on this stuff.

-HeavyHauler

Welcome HeavyHauler!

I know that Wade has thrown around the idea of a local chapter, but for whatever reason, we've not gotten one formed. I know that I would be interested. We've also had a group get together, in the form of a dyno day. Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend, but I heard that they had a great time.

There's a pull coming up soon in Wade's neck of the woods, maybe we can try and all get together then.

BTW, I gotta get a box guys... . Gap (Piston Slapper) handed me my arse yesterday on I-440. He got a new box a short while back, and invited me for a ride. I caught him after work last night around 7, and we went for a spin. I could immediately tell that he had the power to rip me a new one, but I was dumb enough to suggest that we line them up anyway... . He dropped me off at my '03, and we headed for West End Ave, then to 440. By the end of the on-ramp at Murphy road I was pushing 100..... He was right on my tail... . Next thing I know he blew by me like I was sitting still . It was an awesome display of power. I had no idea that box would make such a difference. I love these things!

Andy,

I enjoyed as much as you did! :D :D The only thing that didn't like it was my stock slush box! She is still taking the heat and hasn't slipped yet. Wait till that Edge gets that Comp figured out for your 03. It'll rip mine then, well, if I haven't got them DDIII's in yet! The slope is definetely slippery, I am about to go head first!

Whats up with the pull Wade? Tractors and trucks or just trucks? Time place? Hook fee? I can bring two trucks possibly three if we need the numbers.

yada... yada... yada... :D

I got some news for ya'll. My dad has a show car worth about $30,000. He has the diesel bug so bad he is selling the car. He still owes $20,000 on his 03 Cummins. He said me and my brother could have the other $10,000 to spend on his 95!

Now wouldn't that be cool!! I hope he sells it!

Already has 370's, #4 Plate, Delivery Valves, 3 GSK, and stacks.

I'm thining, Full DTT, Twins, and Piers stupid pump(or pump work) and somebodys cam. NICE!! SWEET!!

We'll be making the sled pull rounds then.

First to HH, I'll be real close to Howenwald when I go fishing. Send me your phone number and If'n I can get by at a decent time, we'll test your LP.

I can meet you in Columbia on Friday, I think. Let me check on the latest details.

ON the Tennessee Chapter. I've just been too busy to fool with it. I did contact HQ for some more info, but forgot what it was.

I'll expand on this more tonight, I'm burning too much daylight right now.

Pull is 27th at 6 o'clock. We'll meet here and convoy over. FIVE diesels and we'll have a $ class. It is truck and tractors. Will be a BOG RUN if it rains.

Gap, call JD and see how he says spend the bucks. He's real good about that, and can get you some deals.

back after dark.

Wildcat vendor in Lebanon!

Just found out yesterday that we have a vendor for Rod of Wildcat diesel in Lebanon guys.

He drives a white 2001-or so:confused: 24V 2500. It looks like mine, but a lot cleaner! and has the factory Alloys.

He has a Scotty II, B1 Turbo, 4" exh. (duh!), ATS manifold with external wastegate!, EDM injectors with a TST PM3 Comp stacked with EZ!, and a complete ATS transmission.

I've heard from a co-worker of mine its a scary! truck? I'd probably agree given the chance to ride in it, but hell he offered to let me DRIVE IT!:D ;) :-laf

Anyways that's getting off the point, he's a vendor for Wildcat and was saying he could get me anything I needed so I figured I'd share the info with you guys.

Oh yeah he's wanting to open a shop at the Watertown exit of I-40 complete with Dyno!:--) Scary thing is this guy has the money to do it! Even scarier..... he wants me involved with it! :-laf

See I've known this guy for a while, but just found out he's a vendor. I know he's over on the DTR site, but not sure if he's over here.

Anyhow I'll end this now with this guys name which is: Meacham Evins of Evins Properties, LLC. Cell # is 615-405-1069.

If you need to call him tell him Mark the kid with the white 12V Cummins at Wilson Country Chevrolet sent ya!;)

Is that the "son of Cracker BBL"? I heard that he had been out to Brent's and was talking some talk, but the guys had to as ME if he knew what he was talking about.

Don't know the guy, would like to meet him--and his truck. ;)

Let's make the 27th a Mid-TN TDR chapter-organizational meeting--and truck pull.

We'll meet up at my house and discuss bidness and FWD the paperwork and get the official recognition stamp.

FWIW I'm thinking about having regular meetings every other month at someplace like Hooters in M'boro, with one or two of those being dyno meetings at Brent's. Setting up an email reflector. and stuff like that, we can work all that out as necessary.

I passed out some info today. And helped with the breather hose re-route.

Wade, as far as son of Cracker BBL I do not know. I spoke with him for like 30 minutes before realizing how long it had been and I had to get back to work:eek: He seems to know his stuff, and he's wanting to learn more.

Yeah I can't wait to drive that truck!Oo. He "told" me what times he'd been running at Union Hill Dragway, but I forgot. He said it calculated into like high 13's in the quarter I think? If that's so he's right up there with John_P! YEAH! I wanna drive that thing!Oo. :-laf

As far as the 27th, give me more info. Time we're meeting at your house and etc. , how far is it to your house from Lebanon?

Pull starts at 6pm, we should have a crew here by 4 anydernway. Whatchathink?

I'm 40-odd miles from Lebanon.

Directions to my humble abode.

From Murfreesboro and most points West:

Take US 70S East to Woodbury.

Cross the square and turn South (4th light, McDonalds on corner) on 53-Jim Cummins Hwy. Go 6 miles to HiWay 53 Mkt. Turn Right 1/4 mile past the market. This is Petty Gap road but there are no signs. Cross Hollow Springs Road and continue on 1/4 mile to 591 Petty Gap Road. Here I is.

From I-24 at Manchester:

go North on 53 toward Woodbury--18 miles and turn left JUST past Martin Mini Barns. That is Petty Gap Road. see above.

Call, email, or send a morse code message, I can get you here. 615-765-5522, -- email address removed --.

The pull is about 5 miles away and there are signs up already.

I could get a ticket for posting under the influence tonight, so keep and eye out for posts that make more sense. :p :p :p

Met a new one in Lebanon--PULL/Meeting ROLL CALL

Matthew Whittaker and I got into a smoke fest before we decided to pull over and talk about it. He drives a 2WD 12v 3500 with 5 sp. It has a plate but no gauges or clutch yet.

Hey Mark, guess who he knows? that's right, Meacham--and he has DRIVEN that bad truck! Guess Meacham lets anybody drive--, I wanna try out a B1--too bad it's auto, but then , I'd like to try out a hot-rod auto too.

Anyway, I gave him my number, info about here, more TDR info, a TDR sticker, and told him about the PULL up here. He's supposed to get Meacham to call me, so I can talk him into pulling his truck.

I'll call him this evening. Now to clean up my Ponderosa.

I'm going to see the event organizer and tell him it looks like we'll have FIVE trucks.

ROLL CALL: Who's coming? Who's pulling?

[will update as info develops]

Gap- one or two pulling trucks?

Me-- Cheerleader

Mark Cheerleader #2

Meacham -Tentative YES puller 4WD hot

Matthew -Possible puller 2WD dually stock

Andy - if Boss lets him

Jay - needs encouragement to pull

Edit--just got off the horn with Meacham--says probably.

I'll sound off with a maybe... I'd sure like to come. I'm fixing to point mine southbound to Atlanta for the rest of the week. Wifey's not to happy with that, so I might be grounded on the 27th.

I sure do like the sound of the beginning of a MidTn Chapter though. I hope we can make it happen.

Hope to see ya'll there!

Hey Wade I slipped my OEM stocker with my 300's Saturday night in Lafayette. I towed my old chevy up to Lafayette for the annual mud run. Well as I pulled into the fairgrounds and went to pull in the same place we did last year. Well I was blocked by a 20-30ft enclosed trailer.

So I had to back uphill with a 22-24ft gooseneck with my Chevy on it(5K by itself).

Slipped the clutch pretty good, smelled it for a few minutes :-laf

Anyhow I'm planning on coming to the pull that weekend, but I may have a female friend along for the ride! :D

Oh yeah Wade I left you a message @ home, disreguard went through the pages and found what I was looking for.

A guy I work with over here @ Wilson County Chevrolet is helping me install my skyjacker D25 coils springs tomorrow. It won't be long before I'm gonna need some more 33's:rolleyes: I wanted 35's this time, but finding a trailer this weekend was a royal pain.

Coudn't get ahold of my buddy that has the 25-footer, got one trailer and as I was pulling out with it it rubbed my bed rails:eek:

Finally got one that worked, but barely cleared by a few inches in some cases. Oh well 33's will be easier to turn on the track next year. ;) 300's are gone after this coming weekend, Wildcat 370's will be here soon!Oo.

Throw Down at the Hoe Down. CAMPING

Here's a link to the Ivy Bluff Auto Salvage Truck and Tractor pull.

http://ivybluffautosalvage.tripod.com/auto/id4.html

We're the "more classes may be added" category. I told him that we'd be happy to pull all the diesels together 2wd/4wd/stock/not-so-stock etc. since there won't be many of us.

If we get a big number of trucks we can break it down--by the rules WE THE DRIVERS set. I suggest making HX-35 the dividing line. Anything bigger than that we could consider "hot" stock.

We can figger all that out closer to pull date.

If anybody wants to stay over, I have plenty of room for tents and campers. The nearest Hotels would be in Manchester on 24. Oo.

Hey Wade, I'm gonna be coming to Middle Tennessee on the 27th but unfortunately I'll be going on past that to the Eastern part of the state for the Vols game against South Carolina.

Is there any way I could get my name on the Middle Tennessee Chapter member list without my being there?

Sure, just give a name and location and contact info. Here, PM, email, carrier duck--doesn't matter. ;)

Came through Howenwald about 7am Saturday, hit the river at 99 bridge and got out 3pm Sunday at Patton bridge. You could have "spotted" my truck at the put in. Didn't see ya.

Sept. 27th Pull

Count me in on the chapter meeting and attending the pull. I won't do any pulling, but I will be there to support the other CTDs there. After I juice mine up next year, then I will try some pulls.
