I purchased the kit #4090046 which has the pump and a few misc items not needed on our trucks.

So this bolts right up in place of the "proper" pump? No replumbing needed?? I already have the "pigtail" for the dodge wiring to cummins pump.

I just called my Cummins dealer... $200. 10, didn't know anything about a $64 pump, didn't matter if you were a company or not... it is flat out $200. 10.

I called hoesli diesel about this..... He stated they wont sell you the special campain pump without a specific serial #(meaning the 64. 99 pump) he stated that he still has some. He stated it was for fire trucks and buses. He also stated he is selling the new capain pump which has a new internal bypass for $139. 00 I still might go down in the am and try to buy this pump from my local dealer I have this bus that I use to move the migrant workers from job to job and it needs a new pump Oo.

I know this information has been posted before, I find it to be not very ethical?? maybe a class action type of deal?

Well said ToolMan! I agree. I know many people with the FASS and I'm going to order mine in the near future. Totally worth it!

It depends on the Cummins Shop. I called in Washington state and was quoted $210. Called Cincinnati and got one for $64 plus shipping. Seems around the country some let them go to anyone for the $64 price, but others want to stab you for more. Wish now I would've order 2 or 3.

OK, Just called Cummins Cal Pacific and got it for $64 + shipping and tax.

Thanks for the info and saving me $140.

OK Share the wealth - what exactly did you say? To whom were you speaking and what is the phone number we can call to get our $64 + shipping and tax pump?

Come on brother give it up Oo.

Mine came from Cummins Bridgeway West Chester, OH. Go up near the top on page one. Don Bellamy found this deal and listed their 800 number. They may or may not have any in stock. Don went in to pick up a second one and got the last one they had in stock a couple of weeks ago. Might be worth trying.

I went to Bridgeways' Columbus, OH location, had no probs and took one of two off the shelf. That was a few weeks ago and they may have more.

That's great news.

Cummins midsouth in Little Rock sold me 5 of them and then wouldnt let me pick them up, citing that I didnt qualify to even buy the kits. I called the dealer in Pine Bluff, they said to go to Little Rock. I called another cummins place in Little Rock and they said they wouldnt sell me the pump.

I'm still on the factory pump. almost 158,000 miles and still going fine. :D Not sure about fuel pressure, but as long as it don't go under 5psi (dummy light) I dont' care.

Here's what I have...

I simply asked to order the part no. and then asked how much. $69. 93 plus freight. No other questions, it was that simple. :) I'd really like to know why some are asking $200 & others only $64??????

Thanks guys, I got a kit without a problem from the local Cummins dealer.

It was $71 plus tax! :D It came with some wiring, a sender, and a tapped banjo bolt! Now my problem is whether to use it or relocate mine with the Vulcan kit this weekend.

I'm diffinitely going w/the vulcan kit for longevity, bigger lines, easier to change. For $130 I don't want to have to mess with it for a awhile.

I hope you guys have good luck with this new part number ?? and relocation. I do suggest the relocation, I did it about 2. 5 yrs ago and put a racor filter before the pump so clean fuel will enter the pump, and built a bracket for mounting and protection from debri, also changed to all 6an from tank to VP. BUT, everything runs great for awhile until eventually the stock piece of crap LP goes out. I am on number #4, Anyway with my new IIHRVP the stocker can no longer keep up and my current one is now taking a dump also. SO, I finally purchased the FASSII and will just replace the pumps only. My 6an lines with no banjos and SS line will bolt right up to the new FASS pump. Will post relults later. Also waiting for new 30psi gauge I was told I should run a steady 16-18 psi even under heavy load, will see what happens. All I know is I'm done with the carter, lets change the part number and fool everyone that it is a different pump bull crap. Good luck with the new pumps buy a hand full of them.

Cheap Pumps

:cool: My neighbor and I scored a pump apiece at Cummins Cal Pacific in El Cajon here in San Diego,Co. Same price:$64. 90,no questions asked. Our stock pumps are hanging in there,but we do plan to relocate when neccessary. Now if Cummins would only offer cheap replacement blocks for our "53"'s :{
