Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) The EZ experience

I'm relatively new to the forum. (see post count) Been reading EZ this and EZ that. Got to the point I just had to see what all the hubbub was about.



Last week while doing a search I found a post saying a guy had bought an EZ for $475 from Con Haycock. -- email address removed --



Seemed to good to be true. So I sent him an email and sure enough, that was the price. Called him on Monday morning, he sent it out the same day. (nice guy) Arrived UPS today.



10 minutes to install and off I went. Been back about a half hour and I'm still smiling! Seems to have cut the tubro lag in half and added a butt load of go. There also seems to be 2 long black marks on the road in front of my house that I don't remember being there before.



Should have done this the first week I had the truck.



Hummmmm... ... . what next.



I'm hooked.

Your done now,you took the bait,hook,line,and sinker. Whats next,open a new bank account(LOL). Next order some guages,I like a Boost/egt combo guage,with a fuel pressure/trans temp comb guage under that,in an a pillar mount. Now get the transmission beefed up,figure a new TC,valve body,and internal upgrades including seals,and clutches. Next 4" exhaust. BHAF,,and touch it off with a booster pump,and rays banjo bolts. Now you can get some injectors,dd2's at the minimum ,oh yeah,the EZ has to go,trade for a comp... and a HX40... ... ... ... etc,it never ends. Bombs away

tking, I love my ez I just hope the auto holds out I too have those strange black marks in front of my driveway,wife said to grow up,but I want this,and this,and this,any way enjoy your ez. Don

the bite will get you every time

I still have a scare on my ass where I was biten oddly enough it is on the same side as my wallet and the bug must have bitten clear through it to cause I have had no money since the last mod. Have fun with the EZ it is worth it's price.

Just got back again. HAD to go into town for something... ... not quite sure what, but had to go.



I'm guessing fuel mileage will be somewhat less than usual for the next couple tanks



Looking at SPA gauges... ... ... a bit pricey but you only live once.
