I have a 88 Dodge Dakota that has a check engine light on and I an trying to figure out how to read the trouble codes. Can someone tell me the easiest way to read them?

key on,off,on. count pulses of ck eng light. . Last number will be 55 meaning end of test

All the codes are 2 digit numbers, 3 flashes, pause, 2 flashes= code 32 (EGR system, my 88 Dakota's favorite code)

I have a Haynes manual with the codes if you need them.
