Thanks, TDR Staff

Hmmmmmm

a question for you anchor clankers.

We finally leave this weekend. Pack the Wife and kids into the truck, hook up the car trailer, and finally move to Houston.

I'll be back soon...

You're going to miss the most entertaining time of year to drive in Michigan if you leave now... haha

On a more serious note, have a safe trip.

What part of Houston are you moving to?? I live north in Spring.

Where is the TDR meeting held at and how often... . Won't be able to make it this time, but I would like to attend the next one. :D

Every third Sunday of the month at the Golden Corral on 610 and S. Main, just south of Reliant Park(still want to call it the Astrodome).

Good timing Jdonoghue, you should be all settled in by the time the big drag race comes around in December.

I won't be there in time to make it to the Golden Corral (should have left sooner!) But I will make it to the drag race.

I feel blessed they let me drive through the state. Picked up in Longview, delivered in McKinney. . . now sitting in Salina, KS, heavy wet snow everywhere. Gonna be home for Thanksgiving if it starts come mornin. Everybody have a good one.

Cheers,

Steve J

Finally got Internet access this week. We made it to Houston the day before Thanksgiving. Still unpacking boxes and settling in. It rained almost the whole time driving through Arkansas. Other than that, the trip went well. Easy pulling the car trailer with the truck. Got 19. 5 MPG. I like the price of diesel in Texas much better than Michigan - we paid 2. 19 when we filled up to leave, yesterday I filled up for 1. 96. Still getting used to driving here, we used to live out in the sticks surrounded by corn/wheat/soybean fields. But we like it here, and the weather is much better. Just have to find some new friends.

Check out the LSTDR (Lone Star Turbo Diesel Registry) get-togethers farther down the forums main page. There are some good folks there - we look forward to meeting you! ;) :D

You're not far from us. We live in Lakewood Forest, about 4 blocks from the intersection of Grant and Louetta. I work in the Jones Road/290 area.
