Any chance of getting pics under the hood? Awesome setup by the way! I'm really impressed with how clean it all looks, almost like it came from the factory that way.

I think I'll work on the C. O. E. design. This might be a lot of fun! I don't know if I can do it as pretty as this though!

A new venture for you!

Thanks for the compliments guys. I really was not expecting too many people to like it. The cost was as follows:

Stainless canister: $450. 00

Stainless Bracket fab. and weld to truck: $200. 00

Fram Air Filter: $17. 99

Aluminum 4" 45 for intake tube: $16. 99

Aluminum 6' long 4'' pipe: $12. 99

4' Rubber elbow: $14. 99

A chopped up and welded AEM intake kit: $249. 99 (You could do without)

Misc. : $50. 00

TOTAL: Approx $1,000 not to mention turning your fender into swiss cheese. I would do it again:cool:

You opened a nice can of worms. Now pour it out on the table and sell it as fast as you can!! I'll save my money for the final version when it hits the market. Be sure to give a TDR member discount! :)

No chance! I don't have any time for it. This took me close to a year to complete as i don't have much free time on my hands with three young kids, business to run, always something around the house, i think you get the point. It's not hard to design and put the kit together, but to install is a bit tough considering drilling holes in your fender in the correct places, and pulling the fender off to mount the bracket to the frame. Now if you want to visit me for an install also i may consider it. LOL

Chrome cover for mirrors?

Hello SS,

Great looking rig, love the chrome covers for the mirrors, did you make them or is there a supplier? Would appreciate the information.

I bought them from a local truck accessory supply store. It took a little convincing on my part as they did not believe me that they existed for the tow mirrors. After looking through three books they found them. I originaly saw them online.

While thats great engineering, didnt big trucks (newer body styles) go away from external canisters because they create more drag than they increase horsepower?

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME! That is GREAT! I've been thinking about how great it would be to have exactly the same thing, but I wanted to figure a way of doing it without drilling into the body.

DaveHess - I've also been considering your idea for years. The only issue is the lack of space between the cab and the bed. But if you're willing to drill through the bed, then there's no problem.
