To what degree does it affect the Torque management? Is it eliminated totally on upper setting?



Has there been any new programming to help the cruise control surge with bigger injectors?



With the HRVP44 on mine I can't even use smarty while driving by accellerator pedal as it starts getting to surging and bucking during normal driving.

Bob,
Received the beta software. I do have a couple of questions.
What is torque management and what do the different levels do?
Can you explain the 3 levels of duration?

I loaded the software into my truck, max on everything. I have an ATS transcommander, so I'm not sure if that will have an impact on the torque management, that is why I ask.

If the Smarty will be anything like the 3rd gen Smarty, it is gonna be a great product for sure. My bro just got a S-06 & I am really impressed with that thing, super smooth & makes Crazy Larry look not so Crazy. I hope us 2nd genners get something similar to that.
 
I programmed everything to the MAX and level 9. First thing I noticed, less smoke on a full out take off and I have a very tight torque converter, not to say there isn't any, but noticeably less. Boost appears to come on quicker, which to me was hard to believe as it spooled very quickly before. The shifting now in my auto is very firm, feels like a shift kit was installed, even though I have an ATS Trans Commander and I've set the shift points with it. There are two things I like more than before, first the throttle response seems very linear, does not appear to have any drop off. Secondly, this morning on the freeway, if I hit the accelerator, I was gone, no hesitation what so ever. I like the less smoke, which I can get back by turning on the Edge Drag Comp, that mainly stays turned off.

With all of the combinations available now, I could be playing with this for quite a while. I need to find a setting for towing. I need to learn what the torque management setting can do for me and the injection duration timing. So far, I like it. More to follow as I try different settings.

One more thing I like that I forgot to mention. Cruise Control, works fine with no surging. This was on level 9 @ 75 mph this morning. Which in itself is amazing considering it was on LA freeways in the a. m. , will try it again on the way home if traffic permits.

Wow.



What a difference this has made. You guys have hit a home run on this go around. I'm loving the new response without the smoke. . and the Cruise Control!!! Holy Cow! This is the best version I have tried, and is EXACTLY what I was hoping for. I'm going to have to keep trying different settings, but this ROCKS! Mind if I share the experience on the Bombers?

yeah, if the VP Revo files are anything like the CR files, you guys are in for a treat! the drivability and low smoke are awesome. Hopefully they'll bring your EGT's down too!

okay computer boob here. I recieved the software from bob and having problems opening them I can open up the smarty manual but not letting me open the beta. I saved it in a folder that is all its letting me do what are the steps for this if one of you could help me. also anyone know about the duration settings and what it means?
