You came off as a beginer to me judging by your posts and your "join date" that shows as Feb 2005, which was just 1 1/2 months ago. This is all that members have to judge you buy, so if the information is not accurate, then you have nobody else to blame but yourself. I apologize if I have offended you as I was just trying to give you some advise that I thought you wanted.

I will be racing prostreet again, but will race up at Pittsburgh Raceway Park instead of MIR this year. I should also be at the TS Performance Race in Kentucky, and I will also be at IRP.

When I get the trans done I will let you know.

I dynoed on a mustang load dyno a week before my HG blew. I replaced the head gasket with haisley's fire rings/studs and a mild (very mild) port job.

I really did not notice a increase/decrease in EGT's. But the dyno might tell a different story.

Thanks, I am interested to see the results. I am getting mine done anyhow, but would still like to see if it really makes a change or not.

:) ob1kobi-

No offense taken ! Not at all- never!! :D I don't understand that also, why don't they put when subscription started? I don't know. I too apologize for snapping back on you- All is cool.

Heck- felt kinda good- edgy even... kinda like how you feel when you go a couple rounds- know what I mean? :-laf :-laf

:D

If you can get Wilson to build you a manifold for a diesel in a reasonable amount of time and stop work on Greg Andersons Pro Stock heads . good luck

Comp. .

We agree on something and I'd bet there are those who never thought that would happen.

How can you comment on respectable times- when you have no idea WHAT I've run already? Nor is it about how much money is spent out of one's pocket- How do you know how much money I spend anyhow? And furthermore why would you care?

You just do not get the picture do you. What I was trying to make you understand is that there are more efficent ways to accomplish what you want to do without lapping off your intake plenum or going to the expense of having a sheetmetal intake designed and built. They have been tried and tested with little or no sucess and the cost was more than I figured you wish to spend. To do the job properly you do need to lop off the cast plenum and have a manifold built. Now,other ways can be done, such as designing a piece to have mounted inside the existing intake plenum to direct the airflow and make it more efficent. Again, cost you said was a factor earlier and I just figured you for not being a cubic money man and would desire to do it more cash efficently. What you spend on your truck is not even a concern to me,nor is your constant bragging about the money spent.

In the end all you have is a truck that your bracket racing with so speed and HP means absolutely nothing in that type of race, the package does. You brag about "trailering" the drag race cars but yet we do not hear you say how many of those racers beat themselves, not you beating them. I have seen your truck run and will say you do enjoy yourself and when you beat a weekend racer you are full of yourself. Just because some people do not introduce themself to you doesn't mean you have not been seen.

Tha'ts what I'm talkin about- it has only taken all winter and most of the spring to get the smack talk started again- Racinduallie- I'm sorry for questioning your threads- you have now made this forum fun again!

the flow numbers to be had by cutting off then intake and porting , are about 25% increase, the sheet metal intake dose not really help muck, its just a way to reatach the intake. some of the high end porters cut it offand post , then weild the same intake back on

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

$$$ H A M M E R $$$

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

:{

I put your name around dollar signs since it is Y O U that keeps bringing up money spent- money wasted- money lost- money this & money that!! :{

Seems to me from YOUR postings you have this idea of me as being a Big money guy? I brag about how much I spend? When? Where? If anything I say I don't know how much was spent & I don't want to know because I don't want to :{ ! If it is in fact you that seems to have bad experiences purchasing parts that don't work then you better do a little more research BEFORE you open that wallet of yours. I have NO interests in having someone W E L D up any type of sheetmetal Intake Manifold Plenum ! ! Not Hogans- Not Wilsons I never even mentioned those names OR welding. You arent the biggest hammer in the toolbox are you ? Do this thread a favor and stand up-

reach around- and PULL whatever- collectively you have wedged in there !

You talk about how I act at the track & there is no truth to whatever you felt like posting- Please

( Must be one of the ones that got trailered ! :-laf )

Now good day to Y O U !

Ramifold!

DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS

FOR HI-FLOW INTAKE MANIFOLD/PLENUM :

1- Cast Aluminum Material.

2- 1/2" Thick Flange @ Head.

3- 3/8" Thick Walls Through-out ( or better). 100+ psi capable.

4- Must Incorporate All Sensors- (map, iat- ect ).

5- Must Have Angled Bosses Over Each Port- ( for nitros injection)

( drilling and tapping required ).

6- Must Incorporate Factory Heater.

7-Must Locate The Factory Throttle Cable/ Tv Cable- TPS Block in Stock

Location.

8- 2 pc. Design. Does Not Use Factory Air Horn.

9- Must Have Bosses For Water/Meth Systems Single/Multiple Stages.

10- Must Have Bosses For Boost Signal Hook-Up.

11- Cylinder Head Modifications Required.

That is the reason for my web site and my postings. There needs to be more sharing of info, and less "Secrets".

PS> We are just like the rest of you guys, bucks down folks

Hey Scott- After you completed your sheetmetal intake what were the real world benifits that you noticed? :D

Benefits?

Additional performance of the manifold on the car now is nil. It was done for port access only, and weight reduction. I am, however, working the 2nd generation manifold for the new head that will help air distribution a bit,and make it easier for placement of water / N2O / ??? injectors.

If you could go in and do the porting work, and then put the cast iron manifold back on, (opened up a bit) would be the best. We have "popped" the sheet metal one before, and when you built them, watch for areas that stretch at 100 PSI. Another thought is to add a burst panel like the alcohol and fuel guys run. It may save the manifold in the event of a sneeze.

:D Just got word that Banks is about a couple of months from release with the modified cylinder head- manifold Pkg. !!! Hopefully they've been watching this thread for suggestions... . Ideas .....
