I can't tell, are you defending your misuse of that partial quote or not? I mean, I only challenged you for using only a partial quote which totally changes the intent of said quote. Not sure how the rest of the word salad relates.

Its does not change the intent.....KT that entire BD explanation is misleading is used to promote their products,(Hmm is OK to a point) its common place for that type of info today, The motive behind that type of advertising is to incite, its call marketing to the point of deceiving for profit.

KT, don't you think that it should survive My challenged or NOT....

BD claims that hardware modification(S) in their testing (LOL) creates FM and does nothing to reduce DP and their SB does . My challenge is that hardware modifications are required to eliminate the DP.

I think they said "could" create FM.

No offense, from what I have seen from them, and from you, I'm leaning with them....but I have no horse in this race. I will not be performing your mod, so you don't need to prove it to me.

You misquoted, that is what I challenged you on.

We have no empirical data to support physical modifications to the fuel system on a late model Cummins engine will in any way reduce the apparent lack of acceleration or torque management experienced. If anything, it may be a detriment as there is an increased risk of foreign material ingress,

Just more liberal Bug spray to place a seed of doubt.

I could also advertise that the SB may be a detriment and increased risk of a crash. I won't drop to BD (Big Deal) level of marketing for Profit.

I trust your Judgment in the matter ...We rarely agree , But I've never seen you be deceitful... if you decide to try it..if you don't its as My sig says.

I bought a Pedal Commander yesterday. I dont have a dead pedal issue but the truck doesnt respond like I feel it should. I read too many posts (multiple forums) stating BD was to "twitchy", I also like the display of the PC better, more options so i went ahead and picked one up ($30 off this weekend with free shipping). I will report back after I get it if anyone is interested.

EDIT: I initially put 30%, meant $30 off

You'll like it a lot. I put one on my 18' 2500 and was hooked, When I bought my 19' 3500 they did not have a unit that supported the 2019 trucks so I went with the Amp'd Throttle Booster with remote switch... 100% identical in performance and "feel" and I'm just as happy.

My concern with upping the throttle sensitivity is dirt "roads". I have a piece of property in the middle of nowhere WY and when I go the canyon route im limited to 2nd gear and idle. If I use the throttle at all its so bumpy that I can't steady my foot and the trucks jerks terribile. Not sure if it would make this worse or better? Opinions?

This video gives you an idea what im talking about:

Of course I am planning some Carli or Thuren upgrades in the future but that is a lot of coin.

Do it. I just Had the carli kit put on my 19 3500 srw, and it is sweeeeeet. I got the commuter kit, it’s just the 2.5 lift coils, fox shocks all the way around and the adjustable trac bar. Makes for a more enjoyable ride on and off road. Well worth the money.

I've owned both the BD and the pedal commander. Have the pedal commander now. The BD was a twitchy mess and threw some throttle position codes occasionally. The pedal commander on the other hand is very smooth and fast, and I really like it. I'd suggest it over the BD any day. It's on the truck in my sig.

Do they offer them for the HO? The description I saw said Standard Output only.

I saw somewhere it said not for the HO, however I read more than a few reviews from people who installed them on the HO with good results. On their website another place says "for 1500,2500 and 3500" so I figured I would return it if there was an issue.

I had the BD TSB installed in my truck 5 years ago. I have the extra control button that allows variable throttle controls. I’ve tried all positions and have stayed on 50% virtually since day 4 of having it. Without issue! I paid for it and I had my dealership install it. They installed it for free.
They have installed the same unit in other trucks where owners complained about throttle response and dead pedal.

I personally don’t care if people think it’s “Snake Oil”.
I have test driven every new Ram 3500 in the last 5 years and none respond like my truck with it installed off the line.
It doesn’t just simply move the throttle position sooner on the pedal. On all the new trucks I’ve test driven, it doesn’t matter what position I’ve had my foot on the go pedal. They are sluggish compared to mine.

My Truck feels like it wants to go and does. It hasn’t completely gotten rid of the dead pedal issue, but it has lessened the recovery time. That’s all I care about.

My Edge Amp'd with adjustment button is not twitchy either... wouldn't be good to be twitchy while hitching up trailers. I notice the improvement most while driving solo. Seems before Amp'd and after, truck throttle performs GREAT while hitched to heavy trailer. Can't say this is by design, but could be empty/no load is to keep the truck from taking off uncontrollably and having a fiery crash. Just joking, but I notice the difference, and when it comes to performance and other aftermarket accessories, that's what counts.

I could be wrong, but I think increasing the throttle signal REDUCES the affect of initial TQ Mgt.

Cheers, Ron

Thats what I have been reading and talking with diesel shops about before I decide to buy one too. They claim these can help you get into different HP ranges but I feel that since it doesn't actually add power it simply reduces the TQ Mgt which allows for more power.
