Ok now, I have decided to stick with my old truck but add some more fun to it. I originally upgraded my truck without doing the research and prior to my membership to TDR. I am looking at stripping the Banks Ottomind off and going with a Edge Drag Comp or Juice with Attitude. First question is what is the difference? I like the idea of the turbo timer on the Attitude and both claim 120hp. I do have guages for Pyro, Boost and Fuel Pressure but would like to monitor the transmission as well.
Here is my truck. It is a 2001 4x4 Laramie with 4. 10 gears and Automatic. The truck has 150k miles on it and 65k on the upgraded DTT transmission. The transmission upgrade is with the 89H TC and Billet input and mid shafts. I have the Fuel pump in the tank and a mechanical RASP with larger lines. I originally have the Banks Power Pack with out the turbo upgrade because of the HY turbo. I also have the Banks Brake.
Here is what I am wanting to do. I would like to upgrade the injectors to Mach 1. 6 or 2. I would also like to upgrade the turbo and keep the existing exhaust brake. I know there is an issue between Honed vs. EDM injectors and my local shop here in Kennewick makes their own. I just haven't found anyone that has run them. They are honed injectors. I don't care either way and am open to suggestion. They just must be reliable.
Now I know you will ask what I want to use the truck for. I have always used the truck to haul and tow. I don't have any specific trailer but horses are in my near future. I used to move every 6 to 9 months building power plants accross the country so I am used to hauling my own household stuff ~12k lbs. So the trucks must be set up to Tow, however I am tired of my wife beating me in her 04 Maxima. #@$%! I would like this to end.
What upgrades would you suggest first? Turbo and injectors keeping the ottomind or smaller injectors and Edge. I am would like to stay below 2k if possible. I don't mind using used parts to get there. Or is this unreasonable. I am open to education as well. I have posted a similar thread on nwbombers but their site is down today. I will be adding this there as well. I do still plan on calling RIP on Monday though.
