I have 40,000 miles on the dually and I dont think I will get much more than 10,00 more miles on them. I got a price from Farm & Fleet and it was $1200,ouch. Where should I purchase tires?? I do think I want to get Michelins again.

Was that 1200 JUST in tires? Or did that include mounting / balancing / stems ? Still that works out to 200 a tire. (My BF Goodrich Mud Terrains are 165 a piece. )

Last time I checked the price of Michelins for my truck at Sams club, they were over $200 each - so I can see where a set of six GOOD tires can get expensive...

Did you price any Cooper tires there? Don't know how much difference there would be from 215s to the 235s. I got Cooper S/Ts from one of their other stores. Was just under $800. I mounted mine, and had them balance the tires for me.

HTRDHLR, check around to see if any of your stores carry Mastercraft Courser tires. I am running the A/T's on my 2500 4x4 right now in a 33x12. 50xR16. 5 and they are wearing quite well. I also have two friends in KY who run them on 4x4 3500s in OE size and they are reasonably priced and seem to wear well with a decent amount of traction.

Cooper makes tires for Mastercraft. All I'm saying is that probably means the quality of Mastercraft tires is fine. I like my Coopers. Cooper also manufactures tires for Avon, Roadmaster, Starfire, Dean, and Oliver.

I use Remengton tires in 235/80r/16's. They were $590 out the door installed for 6. I have used two sets so far over the years on different 1 tons. I have had no wear problems out of them other than caused by drive train problems.

Saw a truck up close that had the Mastercraft Courser C/Ts on and I thought that was a great looking tread pattern and tire. A good compromise for off road lugs and good traction on road, a real "AT" tread in my book.



I immediately went home and looked them up, but they don't offer any in 17" sizes. :{

C/T's will be my next tire, once I get some 16" Rims. Just like your they didn't offer C/T's in a 16. 5" rim that unfortunately I currently have. :{

Firestone SteelTex..............

I have been using these tires for a little over two years now and they have been great. I use a Load Range E and deal with the same tire shop all the time. I run these on on my 40' gooseneck aswell and I pay 98. 00 a tire. I have been getting close to 100,000 miles out of them. I know some turn there nose up at Firestone due to problems in the past with them. But these babies have been great.

Hi Paul. Long time no see.

As to the tires, I bought the Toyo tires and am I glad I did. They are the smoothest runnin tires I ever bought. They cost me $147 per and all total I got out for less than $900. As to wear, they're looking good. The Coopers got to where they just didn't give me any milage.

last time I looked sams had michelin 265/70/16's for $ 127 a tire. I bet you could get the smaller dually tires for about 100 a piece, try sams they are way way cheaper on truck tires than anyone else. all other local tire places wanted $200 + for the same tires
