I hooked up my F/P gauge (Dakota Digital) yesterday. I removed the air bleed screw on top of F/F housing and installed the TST fuel pressure adapter (mm to 1/8"NPT). Connected a 18" grease gun hose to the adapter, on other end of the hose a double female and sending unit.

At idle I get 32-34 PSI of F/P. Should be 18-24 PSI.

At no load 2000 rpm I get 58 PSI! Should be 28-36 PSI.

If press is to high (> 10 PSI higher than suggested) should I look for damaged/plugged fuel line after filter, defective overflow valve or??

crabman :)

You should have a snubber in there somewhere to dampen the pulsation. It will probably trash your sending unit if you don't . All you need is a 1/8 m/f valve inline somewhere. Just crack it open till you get a reading and let it be. If the pressure is still high, then start looking to see why. Good luck.
