Costco has a $60. 00 cupon for a set of 4 tires now [1/12] thru the next three weeks. . [even cover special order tires ordered before end of cupon]

just an FYI

[disclaimer. . I'm a former Mgr... now have no direct interests in Costco]

Discount tire also has $60 off any set of 4 BFG or Michelines. And they price matched BFG 315s from Sams Club before the rebate!

So I just ordered 4 315/70/17s for $500. 87 including mount, liftime balance and rotation, road hazard and stems!!:D :D :D :D Oo.

robobx,

I just checked Sam's Club's website, and didn't find the 315s listed (both Costco's & Discount Tires' websites list them at $216 each). Before I drive 2 hours round trip and try to talk my way in to the nearest Sam's Club to check on them in person, do you have any more info on the Sam's Club $115 each price--was that a limited time sale price with a known end date, or a regular price, or a local one?

I'd really like to go with Rickson's, but this is a much more affordable near-term option, if still available. And the good news is that the nearest Discount Tire is just down the street from the nearest Sam's Club :)

No, it was the everyday price printed in the price book. I had them double check the price too. I told them that less than 2 months ago the price was over$200 per tire. They said," well now it's $115:D

Discount tire quoted me about $145 a tire before I mentioned the Sams club price.

i would have really prefered to buy them from Sams, just for the convenience of it being sams and they are much easier to find when traveling than Discount. Oh well,

I called the nearest Sam's yesterday, and was thrilled when I was told it was, indeed, $115. Then I started the Discount price-matching effort. By the time I was done, more than one Sam's (including the one I started with) told me the first guy had pulled an old price sheet, and the current price is $209 :{

OK, maybe I need to go for the Rickson's after all...

well that stinks. It was mid Dec. when i went in to Sams, the guy even double checked the book to make sure it was the current one.

I just got my tires installed tonight, $500. out the door:D without pulling a load I don't notice any power loss so far. I was expecting a little.

I got 51,000 miles on the stock BFGs and there was some tread left, probably another 10,000 miles or so.

If anyone wants to try a price match using my receipt let me know, I'll fax it to you.

how did you get them to mount up the tires? they fed me a BS line that the could not mount them on a vehicle unless they are stock equipment or the wheels and tires were loose( not on the truck):mad: :confused:

Costco told me the same BS about them only being able to mount up load range E tires for insurance purposes. Then I proceeded to show him that the weight capacity of a 315 BFG was higher then my factory load range E tire. Sort of put him at a lost for words. :p
