Last weekend I drove down to Bosie ID from Spokane WA. That 3% raise in the 5th gear sure makes it cruize nice. It bumped my cruize speed up from about 65 to 70. I'm sure some of you know what I'm talking about. Before if I went over 65 it seemed my mileage would go down and the engine was running a lil too hard. (out of it's power band?) I know it dosent hurt it but I would take a hit from 21-23 mpg @ 65 to 19 and lower running faster.
Well I got 24 mpg down @ 70. On the way back my spedo wire got loose and rubbed on the driveline so I didnt get a return figure. I need a GPS to get an exact figure on miles.
The big thing I found is that the stick is perfect to reach for now and makes shifting alot in traffic way easier. It snaps in and out of gear so much better than the old one did.
Overall way worth the $$. Chime in what do some of the other recent converts think?
