Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Torgue spec

I ran 1/2" line to the IP and the fitting with a flat washer that screws into the IP was leaking. So we tightened it a bit, still leaked. Then tightened it again and the fitting broke. It looked like a bad fitting cause it was real thin on the threaded portion that goes into the IP. Anyway, new fitting on the way but how tight does this connection need to be?

you said flat washer? was it the stat o seal washer? if not thats why its leaking.

Whats a stat o seal washer? Where do I get one?
