I'm sure thay're solid, but I want protection from the stone chips, mud, etc. (I want running boards not just nerfs)

Ug... Not for me... sorry... .

I'm with BH...

I want Running boards...

Better rock/gravel protection.....

Also. . nerf type bars allow too much of a potential for one to slip and get their ankle caught. . I don't want that opportunity to arrise...

Although these seem to try to address that. . I want to be able to walk (tip-toe) the length of the board if I need to while washing my truck. . or loading small items into the box, etc... :D

Well they have an over all coving for rocks mud etc of 6 inches. The only real different is they are not solid like the Tough country instead they have the 2 inch space between the 2x4 box tubing an the 2 inch schedule 40 pipe. The tough country board do look like they will give better protection for the paint but i don't know if you could pick one side of the truck up with them with a Hi- lift or something like it. :D

Just wondering if they are a bolt up or is welding required.

So was the order placed today? When do we have to come up with the money? How long before we get the boards? I know, I'm an impatient sucker.

All the info I had was given to KS_Cummins this morning. (He's a dealer for TC and worked out an even better deal for us) He called this afternoon and confirmed my info. He will call each of you to confirm your info. Then he's going to place our order with some that he is ordering probably Thu or Fri. They will ship from the factory same as if you called and ordered them yourself-- Just a much better price. Oo.

PRyker, where are you? (said he wants a set, but I can't seem to contact him)

Does that mean he negotiated a price even better than that which you indicated when we talked Monday?!

That would be sweet! Yippee!! :D

BH, your PM box is full again. I got the answers I was looking for, now just waiting on the call. Thanks for setting this up and saving us a few bucks for more bombs.

yes, i am very grateful for the leg work and dollars saved kscummins and bighammer have done for us --- the loooooooooooong wait (since initial post last fall) will soon be well worth it.

thanks again

I tried to check with those guys last winter and they are terrible at responding to emails. I sent two, and never got a reply to either one. I guess some folks just don't use their email

I think we are all set with this GP but maybe if someone else is looking they can check with them?

Nope... Sorry. . go back a page and you will see those already discussed... . Biggest issue with them was that they MUST be WELDED on... :{

We're after a nice set of Bolt-and-go boards... . :D

The order is in, however the special pricing has been extended to the end of April. (for any others still thinking about it)

Gee... I wonder how long it takes to get them from Texas to Idaho. . ??

I'd love to be able to install them this weekend!!! Oo.

The boards are here! Don't forget to eat your Wheaties - 210 lb shipping weight. I don't have them on yet, but they are built like a bridge. Can't wait to find somebody to help me put these things on. So far I am very happy. For those interested I live in the Fort Worth, TX area which explains the quick shipping
