A company called CSE delivered them in a large delivery type truck. They were in a large wood shipping crate that's about 7' long and 2' wide. I don't how he would have gotten them out of the truck by himself. He had a little cheap dolly, but that was it. I was lucky and just happened to be home.

Finally figured out the picture posting deal. Here's what you can expect to show up on your door step. It was not all tore up when it arrived. I just had to take a peek.

7ft. ? Sounds short to me. I thought they ran from the front to the rear wheel, like the one in the original picture. My distance is 10' for the 3500 4x4, QC, LWB.

They're Here!

The guys at my office's dock were looking at the boards like :--)

All I could do is :D

I can't wait to get them installed. Yes, ~7 feet is for a short bed. Mine are a lot longer than that. I'd guess ~10 as they do not overlap the end of the tailgate with it laid down.

Thank you, thank you to Bighammer and KS_Cummins for their work on this!

I talked the boss into helping me get the new running boards installed. I promised not to yell or lose my patience. Actually I think she was as excited as me. Anyways, here they are:

All this excitement is making me more eager!! Oo.

Can't wait!! :D

That's one hell of a shipping crate!! Hope they are ready to unload them into my driveway all by themselves... :p

I won't be home unless they give me a call in advance... .

----- Ready and waiting.....

Pretty striaghtforward installation. No instructions and I still figured it out. Everything bolts up and fits just fine. No holes to drill. There are a total of 4 brackets on each board. 2 in front and 2 in back. There is a frame mount for the front and rear, and then there is another bracket that attaches to the inside of the rocker panel. The only thing I had to adjust was the mounting bolts for the rocker mount. They wouldn't quite fit through the holes in the rocker panels, but 10 seconds with the bench grinder fixed that. It'll make more sense when you put yours on. Go to my reader's rig gallery for a couple of pics of the mounts. Now the boss and little guy can get in without a running start.

Mine are in. What a piece of hardware. These things are built like something that belongs on a truck. I got them home too late to install, so tomorrow is laid out for me. Not bad, 5 days to VA.

Dave, too bad you're in TX. I would offer you all the cold beer you could drink, while you supervise my install. No instructions with mine either. Only thing that worries me now is, I don't have a bench grinder.

I've got one side on. Yes, those bolts with the welded keeper need a bit of trimming to fit. It took me a bit longer. I don't have a bench grinder. About 15-20 minutes with a file by hand for the pair on the passenger side. I guess I could have done it faster if I had gone down to the basement where my vise is... Oh well.

I'll get the other side in the morning. Between the manual filing and mounting long bed boards alone, I couldn't get to the second one.

One question though - When I put the new bolt in the front frame location it binds up before tightening up on the running board. Has anyone else seen that? I ran out and got some washers to take up the space. Looks like four should do it.

If only my neighbor would stop drooling on my truck!

did any of the brackets use the front springer location [on rear springs] to mount to ??

Reason I ask is I have tarction bars mounted there and will need to figure out something else for them

No, they go on the body mount to frame bolts and a smaller bracket to the rocker panel, where the tape or rubber plugs are. They will be clear of the springs and mounting brackets for them. Look in SilentDaves readers rigs pics above for the mounting pictures. He has some good ones. Thanks, Dave.

I didn't have any binding. They snugged right up. I thought I might have that problem just due to the length of the bolts. I'll probably go get a washer for each bolt which I think should have been included since they didn't suppy a flanged bolt. Overall I am very happy with the boards.

thank you very much. . Jengle and Dave [for the time spent posting the pic's]. .

as he sings the old alka seltzer commercial jingle... "Oh what a relief it is"... LOL... I have been designing a bracket in my head to get around the traction bar mount issue LOL

I wish mine were here!!! :)

Was hoping to install this weekend... .

Hmmm... Wishful hoping might say they'll get delivered on Saturday!!?? :D

Glad to see they are going on okay for you guys... ;)
