So far towing with a #11 plate has been no problem and EGTs are very controlable. I would like to upgrade to a #10 just for the fun factor and my towing is only a very small part of my overall use and that is a 6500lb TT and I dont go full throttle while towing very often except when provoked by a PSD (just gotta do it).

What are your experiences with this plate and what other mods have you done?

TIA

John

TH #10 plate is a TORQUER it will test a clutchs holding power if you foot if from 1700-1800 rpmthru 2200 it may slip some but you shoud be well under way. The egt on my truck would go to 1500 or more if you DONT lift. High temps really rear there ugly head at or above 300 rpm. Have fun just remember to lift or scuff up a piston or two. Good Luck

Oh yea, go for it. The #11 is the opposite grind of the #10. The #10 pours it on @ low rpm & defuels @ high rpm.

The EGT worries will be @ lower RPM so you'll just need to regulate EGT with your right foot. I find that you just need to watch EGT & boost.

Under normal driving down the road conditions, i. e. no target in the sights :), I won't exceed 20psi. That keeps things in check. To get the whole GVWR rolling, just watch EGT.

One think I noticed with the higher fueling low end plates & the 5 speed, getting the whole GVWR rolling really transfers 'grunting' noises thru the gear shift & cab. Gets pretty loud, so I have to back off. Wifie just give me that look. ;)
