36K out of mine bought used from a friend who never rotated or rebalanced them for the first 21K. I miss them. The Toyo II will be my next tire unless Toyo fulfills mine and hundreds of other's requests for a 285-315-17 M-55.

Yes, you are correct. A "P" designated tire is a passenger car tire. Our Rams use "LT" light truck tires in LRE or load range e meaning 10 ply equivalent.

Incredible that 1/2 tons universally come equipped with passenger tires out of the factory.

I met a Canadian Tundra owner who had towed a 25' TT from Alberta to Yosemite. He had the p-designated factory installed tires and was complaining aside from 8 mpg of the sway issue.

I suggested some LT tires and airbags to start with. Toyota did equip the truck with Bilstein 5000 to their credit.
