Competition Traction Bars

I am going to build a set of traction bars what size of tubing do i need to use? I am going to use 5/8 or 3/4 heim joints, just not sure on what tubing to use. Any info will be appreciated.

Most of the bars I have seen had at least 3/8" wall thickness DOM tube...

I was sent pictures of a nice set of traction bars. They used 1'' heim joints. I'm actually going to build a 4 link type set up for mine... and use 1'' I've found that overkill is never really enough.

I live for that comment. Seen too much stuff break to go on the cheap light duty side of things. Bigger is always better!(Most of the time )
