Left rear turn signal out but not really...

Hi, I sold my last Cummins rig and have had a 2014 6.4 3500 crew cab long bed for a handful of years. Wanted to see if anyone could offer insight on this that should relate to any model years regardless of engine. I just replaced the clock spring due to airbag light, no steering wheel controls and no horn. Corrected those issues. Almost immediately after install the traction control light came on after turning the wheels side to side. I have noticed that there is a slight squeal when pressing the brakes, I jacked front end up and a slight amount of play is noticed in both wheels. Truck has 170k. Hubs are original. Planning to order some timken hubs just not sure if this is coincidence or something with the clock spring. Thanks for any help.

Factory clockspring or aftermarket?

I ask that because the clockspring also has the steering angle sensor in it and aftermarket is well known to cause issues with the ESP, the light break squeal guide in this direction.
Also this sensor can and should be calibrated through wiTech or AlfaOBD once replaced.

Also, what does the computer say? When you do jobs like this you also need the proper diagnostic tools on hand then this will tell you the root cause for the dash light.
The dash light by itself it totally worthless as a basic for buying parts as it isn't more then a - hey dude something is wrong indicator.

Got it, thanks for the response Ozymandias. It is an aftermarket clock spring. I reused the factory steering angle sensor. I went through a couple procedures this evening of turning the wheels lock to lock 3x with and without battery hooked up and could not get a reset. I searched for witech and alfaobd but could not find anything, im assuming this is a job for a shop now unfortunately

Thanks User113. I had to get an android tablet to work with the alfa OBD. Got the obd interface. Got it all hooked up and working but cannot clear the code C0051 steering wheel position sensor. Went through a couple different procedures, at a loss, anyone have any idea how to calibrate a clock spring via AlfaOBD?
