Hi All, I want to upgrade my transmission and i am looking for the best bang for the buck. My automatic is running just fine but i have done a little bombing and would like to do more. I know that there are only a few transmission guys that everyone on the list likes ,but the problem is finding someone in florida (tampa bay area) to do the install the way it should be done. I dont mind spending the money on the unit but i would like a professional job done on the install. Any one out there in my area who has actually had this service done on there truck? and also which companies product did you go with (DTT) etc. TIA:D

Just ordered the whole DTT inchilada, instal scheduled for next Friday. I'm lucky I have James Northum (inarush76) right here in town. Dunno about Fl tho, Have you called Bill K. ( toll free 1-866-504-4002) to see if he has an approved installer in FL?

I think ATS will let a local transmission shop install their stuff, if you know of a good one. I'm sure somebody will pipe up. ;)

55k on my DTT so far and not a problem, im all :D :D . Is the DTT the best WHO KNOWS? Is DTT set up awesome? YES! Get rid of the stock "slush box" and you wont regret it!

I have yet to upgrade my transmission, so I can't offer any personal experience. Being in Florida like yourself, and knowing that I'll want to upgrade in the future, I have tried to keep my eyes opened. At this time, the only suggestion I could make is to also check out Suncoast converters. I think they're in the Ft. Meyers area (I could be wrong about that). I think their website is www.suncoastconverters.com. If I remeber correctly there was also some info about them in the last TDR issue.

Keep us Florida guys in the loop on what you end up doing. Good luck!
