My 2003 is currently at 96,600 miles. Here are the only repairs to date:

22,312 mi. Replaced Shift Interlock Cable (warranty)

60,159 mi. Replaced Windshield Washer Pump $169. 21

93,633 mi. Replaced Right Front Wheel-Bearing/Hub Assembly $478. 95

96,455 mi. Replaced Left Front Wheel-Bearing/Hub Assembly & U-Joint $747. 54

Welcome to TDR. I hope you find it to be a good resource...

My '03 has 32,200 and has the following issues, yet to be dealt with:

-Passenger side a/c doesn't blow cold

-Door seals need replacing

-Window wipers inside doors need to be replaced w/ updated parts, the tint is scratching. Supposedly there's a TSB for it.

Other than that, the truck is perfect! It runs great!

4500 miles on my '05 2500 4x4. Rear view mirror was loose. Everything else has been great. A/C seems a little weak... will have it checked next time I'm at the dealer. Love the truck!

2005 in my sig. Bought 11-04, so far 5400 miles most of it towing my TT. Problems so far.....

1. 65-70 mph vibe (very annoying, I will not let this one go)

2. door seals

3. Buzz in speaker

4. brake pedal does not fully return, I have to pull up on pedal or brakes lights stay on

I just took my truck in today to get it serviced and all these things repaired. We will see how the dealership does, especially with the vibe. The service writer said the vibe could be a bearing problem in the rear axle??? Have not heard this one before (at least not here on TDR), so I don't expect this to be fixed, but I will see.

Other than these few things this truck is awesome, pulls my trailer with ease.

109k on mine now.

- wheel bearings at 88k

- brakes all the way around at 105k (just because)

- clutch and fifth gear at 105k yes nv 4500

other than that i love it

05 4X4 Six speed 22. 3K

1. driver and front side windows make a "clunking" sound when rolled up from all of the way down. Not worried about it yet.

2. New overpressure relief valve on fuel rail. 22k

3. New cp-3 pump. 22k

4. New in tank pusher pump. 22k

5. Door seal TSB

Other than that my only complaing is the thin sheet metal and poor paint.

05 ctd quad cab with less than 5k on it. 6 way power seat clunks back and forth. . driver side window/door rattles, windows roll down REALLY slow. Granted I have not yet made it to the dealer for these issues. . so they may soon be resolved. and yes. . the steel on the whole damn truck is paper thin. . Damn the NTSB

The G56 trans in my '05 puked it's guts at a little less than 400 miles. The dealer took 2 weeks to replace the trans with a new one. At the 2 week mark, the dealer had my truck in the shop longer than I had the truck at home.

This truck has driveline lash where my 98. 5 5 speed had no driveline slop at 180K miles. I am now at 900 miles and everything seems okay for the moment except for the lash/slop in the driveline.

12,400K miles on mine.

1. very loud chatter coming from fuel injection

2. Poor MPG (9-10 town 15 hyw)

3. lack of power

Dealer replaced the fuel injection system after 3 visits and complaints (they said it was within tolerance and couldn't swap it out unless I really complained, so I obliged them)

They forgot to reflash the computer for the new injection system so I had to take it back again after it was idling really rough, and now it has such a low idle that the pwr steering is hard unless I give a bit of gass. So back we go again.

Love the truck though...

My 2003 has 27,000 on the clock and I have had two problems. 1) The lift pump failed at 5,000 miles and left me stranded about a 1/4 mile from home. The pump was R2'ed w/o further incident. Took 5 days for parts though. 2) The water pump went out at 25,000 miles. Started marking it's territory everywhere I went. R2'ed the water pump amd been trouble free for 2,000 miles.

Wheel bearing at 70K. No other problems, none, nada. Lots of heavy towing.

But I don't have 4wd or the problems associated. Don't need 4wd, so life's a beach!!

Something is wrong with our turbo. The timing of it is scaring me, as we just upgraded to the hot juice and put it back on two days ago. Yesterday, I noticed a new sound, it is in cadence with the turbo, and at low boost, say 2-6 psi, it sounds like a faint fire truck siren would be the best way to describe it. We did try the turbo on stage 5 the day we reinstalled it, and it did surge briefly, but this is probably because the pump can't supply enough fuel, but now that noise is there. It does get drowned out at higher psi's, and I talked to guy who recommended to take off the intake, grab the nut on the turbo, and check for wiggling forward and backward in particular. There was none, so if any of you guys have any other recommendations I am open to them, but now I'm just hopin it can be taken care of.

The 2 piece drive shafts seems to be a weakness. So far in 50,000+ miles it has destroyed ...

hanger bearing

center u-joint (and yolk)

hanger bearing

rear u-joint

I fear that this will become an ongoing problem. Other than that no real complaints.
