Long story short... when I tore the interior out of it looking for mice, I decided that taking a big project and making it bigger would somehow be a good idea.

So... I drove it sitting on a milkcrate (no interior) to the autobody shop I got a quote from before. I have the bad primer we're all so familiar with. Anyway, three weeks later... truck was stripped down to bare metal, rocker panels replaced along with lower fenders, primed and repainted.

It's been a long seven years since I inherited the truck. It has a full Banks kit with intercooler and I tweaked the pump. This truck started off as a LWB cab and chassis. The Getrag and rear end were rebuilt in 1998. In 1999, I had the front end, brakes and bearings all around redone. In 2002, I took out 22" of frame from between the cab and rear end and installed a dually bed from Iowa. Hinges were done last year. Now that the interior has been rehabbed and the paint is new, I have an essentially new truck. I put less than 5000 miles a year on it.

The only things left to be done are POD injectors and possibly a new pump (still on the original one with 275,000 miles).

Anyway, thanks for the help over the years with the posts.

New truck

Super!!! Hope to see a lot of this from others. Your result will show what can be done.

As you may guess, I am partial to these trucks.

Nice looking truck, Mike... Take a few minutes to fill out your signature on the "user control panel" so we can see more info about your RAM... . ;)
