Truck is ready for SBC Con OFE...Install Q's?

I am getting ready to order a SBC CON OFE is what peter recommends.....



Now i am just wonderin if its gonna be something easy to do on a G56... .



I have done one on my 98 about 5 years ago i believe it was a Nv4500... ... .



Does anyone have a step by step install procedure?



Is it fairly simple to do.....



On my 98 i remember dropping drive lines, frame cross member, dont remember if we took out X-sfer case and transmission as one, had to remove slave cylinder out of the way, disconnect manual 4 x 4 shifter and manual gear shifter... ...



Anyone think of anything else or have instructions on where to start..... Would be GREAT... ..... THANKS Oo. Oo.

Just did my 99 2 wks ago. pretty basic stuff. I took my t'fer case off to lighten the load. crossmember was a b***ch tho, it sprung a good inch. Chain comalong and a bfh bot it back in place.

If you ordered a new flywheel with it, be sure to check the starter engagment clearance. In theory on mine I was suppose to be able to just mount the starter back up without the adapter flange. This proved wrong as the starter would always be engaged and with the adapter flange it would never engage. I wound up milling the flange down for proper clearance. Other than that, was dirt simple.
