Sorta like the famous Covid swabb. I couldn’t help it I don’t know if mine is that clean . Why does my truck not show dpf on the dash at 18 k . So is a Cummins fleetguard not a factory air filter and will void my warranty
It is performing a "passive" regeneration when working the engine. The exhaust temperature gets high enough to burn the soot to an ash state. If the soot level reaches a predetermined level, it will cause an "active" regeneration session. Every 24 hours you should experience a programmed "active" regeneration, too.Ok why does having /hauling my camper give me no dpf reading on the dash. I’m trying to understand that.

Check out the three links I included in Post # 84. They have a good explanation on the operations involved.
This one is especially informative. Basics of Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Operation | CTS (ctscorp.com)
Fixed...Thanks!Good info, but it’s every 24 hours of engine run time… not 20 hours.
- Well I called the Ram Cares people...explained everything to the representative and they told me to get it looked at by another dealer, but could not assist in making me an appointment and could not provide me any help at this time..... So I called 3 dealers that are within 50 miles of me;
- Dealer 1 said Dec. 6th
- Dealer 2 said Jan 3rd
- Dealer 3 is Aug 17th, we have a winner!!! I'll go into it with positive vibes and hope for the best.
I plan to bring all the documentation and pictures with me when I drop it off, I feel explaining in person is easier than over the phone because I can point to it and say this is what I found.On step forward...
Tell dealer #3 right away that RAM cares sent you to him, and the whole story including the black tail pipe swap. Don't hold back any information that might give him insight. You have a warranty and they have to fix it right now and not postpone it until the warranty is up.
Probably why I never noticed it. I honestly don't check and did not recall that one.The Y43 did publish in December but it was only for C&C at that time, it now includes pickups as well.
Mine is getting done this friday.
Correct, keep it loaded and your good to go.I’m getting confused now. As long as I’m hauling 3k in my truck I get no dpf reading . Never got one in the winter last 8-9 months empty .Now Y 43 what’s that all about. What’s going on here?
