Yes you can pull with the auto if it is set up properly. I have a DTT auto with the billet input shaft & hub(saving up for the billet output) & i have been very sucsesfull competing against the manuals. Last year when i pulled i held the brake at the line to spool up the B-1 turbo & then when she started to push through the brakes i let off the brake & pushed the pedal to the metal. I shut off overdrive & let the trans shift into third then i through on the nitrous & let her rip. I always had very good ground speed & i always spun out at the end with the tires buzzin pretty good. Everybody that has seen my truck run could not believe it was an automatic. I have not touched my trans all year & it works as good as the day i put it in. I trashed my stock trans before i had 5,000 miles on the truck & this trans has been in for 15,000 miles of very hard use. The way the truck was setup last year it made 600 horse on the bottle & 1200 ft lb torque so im not sure how it will act on the track with the twins & mach 5 injectors. If you want to pull with the auto you will need to call some of the big trany builders & do what feels best for you they are all very good at what they build. DTT,ATS,GOEREND,SUNCOAST. Take your pick you cant go wrong with any of them.
