Underwhelmed by owners manual

We gentlemen, as I do not have my new truck yet, I have spent my time reading the owners manual. Both on DVD and the hard copy. I must say that since my truck is the new 6. 7L diesel automatic there are some subjects that aren't covered or aren't covered very well. I am a little underwhelmed by the owners manual.

But they still get there outrageous salary's and benefits. It applies to about everything in this world today. But everything is going to change cause we are under the Babma change. Hello Goosehunter, thank you for the information. Being a retired electronics tech and maintenance mechanic who has taken care of a factory full of equipment, I'm all about preventing problems. There are several questions about when to and not to use the jake brake, and how best to care for the DPF in the exhaust system that haven't been answered to my satisfaction. Shoot! I don't even know what the torque spec is for the lug nuts on the truck. I always torque to keep from warping a rotor.

I'm still trying to find information on whether or not the new truck has the severe duty fuel filtration system installed as talked about in a previous thread. I asked the service manager and the salesman and they didn't know what I was talking about. Frustrating! Thank you again for the thread.
