Update on pusher pump

Well I got new update on my pusher pump from posthttps://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=290206 I bypassed the lift pump. Replaced the fuel line with 3/8"Aeroquip AQP socketless racing hose. From pusher pump all the way to stock fuel filter.

Idle is 14. 5psi

At 55 is 13psi

At Wot is 9psi with comp on 5/5

I welded up a bracket to put the pump and filter on. Hope this helps

Just to add my two cents. When I did the pick-up pump upgrade I noticed that some of the adapter fittings I had boughten needed to be opened up in the center for better flow. (Just insp each fitting before installing, you will see what I am trying to get at. ) Which I did with the help of my trusty freind Mr. Drill.

Watch out if drilling out any of the Aeroquip, Russell, Earl's etc. aluminum fittings. A reduction in overall strength and integrity will result. Vibration and shock can crack the weakened fittings.



Also, the non-swivel, "soldered" angled fittings should be avoided... they will crack if subjected to almost any amount of vibration. I can cite this from previous hot-rod experience.

pusher pump ?????

gotdodge , you have your terminology screwed up , the pusher pump refers to a pump installed before the lift pump on the engine , with that pump still in use .



you did the better thing and just bypassed that pump all together ...



what you did was RELOCATE your pump .

Does anyone know how many gallons per hour are needed?



I am thinking about installing a pump near the tank and by-passing the lift pump.



I have seen lots of comments on this but I have not seen the GPH requirements.
