I asked a question a while back about the rebuild kit for the vacuum pump that genos sells. I havent ordered it because I really dont drive the truck a whole lot anymore. A guy I know said he'll put it in, but said he thought a vacuum pump itself should be relatively inexpensive. Does anybody know the price for a vacuum pump for our trucks?

I'll second Gould, it's the same kit that Geno's sells (as far as I know). Last I checked dealer price for a vacuum pump was north of $1000. #@$%!

Rock Auto has a new one listed for $450. 00 which includes the core charge. A rebuilt one is $307. 00 including core. They are listed under Brake/Wheel. Hope this helps.

If it is leaking just get the kit and reseal it. Either Geno's or Pete at Gould Gear. Get a reman from Rock Auto and you will pay shipping X2.

I did the seal kit from Geno's. Instructions were very clear and exact. They even send 2 sets of seals incase you screw it up and the tools (PCV as they are they worked well) to drive the seals in correctly.
