I have a 2001 six speed, dealer installed Jake Brake, M/S tires, trailer package, overload springs.
Problem: I get a noise/vibration coming from the right front, at slower speeds, it comes and goes. Sounds like a wheel bearing. When you push in the clutch it goes away. It is more noticable on cooler, damp days. The dealer has no idea, and, according to the dealer, neither does Chrysler. Any ideas?

Id get underneath to make sure everythings good and tight. Such as transmission mounts, etc. Not being able to drive it makes it hard to diagnose. Haveing to push the clutch in to eliminate it makes it sound like a divetrain problem of some sort. The only vibration I get is when taking off with the 5er. This is a driveline vibration which is normal.

We have checked all those things, not to say that something was over looked. I suggested that the dealer buy one of those electronic listening devices with six microphones.

You sure it's not the fan clutch when the truck and weather is cold?

It doesn't seem to be, I get the noise a little bite louder if I am going about 18mph, making a slow left turn. When I push in the clutch, it goes away.
However, the noise hasn't been as noticeable with the warmer weather.

Where in Lapeer do you live? I live in Elba Twp with a Lapeer mailing address. What dealer did you buy your truck from? I don't know if I can help or not but I would be willing to give it a listen
