P1763 Transmission Code

So my truck shut off no sputtering no codes just dead. Pulled over tried starting it will crank but not fire. Gave it a Hail Mary long crank and after about 45 seconds she fired. Got to work shut her off waited about 5 minutes and tried to restart she started up like it was day one off the lot.
She’s overdue for filters so that’s my first go to. My question is could it be a clogged/bad lift pump or am I looking at a VP?
Would a bad lift pump cause the truck to act that way?

You will need to provide much information to get helpful information in return.

* What year and model is your truck?
* How may miles on the truck?
* How many miles on the VP44? Is it the original VP44
* Have you checked for trouble codes?
* Is the lift pump in the OEM location?
* How many miles on the lift pump?
* Are you the original owner? If not, how long and how many miles have you owned it?
* Have there been mods done to the engine or the truck?

An in depth description and history of your truck will help greatly.

Tx Gal, did you ever get your pump problem corrected ?
A fuel pressure gauge, AND a FASS fuel lift pump are a must for those with a VP 44 pump !
I bought an extra FASS lift pump, just to keep under the back seat, because it probably won't go bad in your driveway !
Do NOT depend, or continue to use the OEM Carter lift pumps ! Unreliable !
