Errr..... Mr. B, you said that even on the day you were born. Now 26 years later it's covered in dust still. Likely be sitting for another 50 years then it will be your retirement project. :-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf

Yeah I got snow too. Gotta get my blower out of storage.

Who let you out of the corner?!? ... ... ... ... I'm not sure I think that's funny... ... ...

Errr..... I snuck away from class for a bit, lots of posts to put comic relief into. Gotta keep you all entertained. Especially MR. Sasquatch.

Nice truck there. What year is it? I hope that Cummins still runs as they don't like sitting for eternity waitng for someone to turn that key over.

DWeaver: Yeah projects take time. I even have one of my own. It's been sitting for 13 years now. Trying to save $$ when my previous truck stole all my hard earned $$. Very upset about it. I could've used the money right now to get all the stuff done.

I was just being a smart ___ (you can fill in the blank). :p

I have lost a month on my '96 project because my kids megacab POS is eating the time. Every time I think I have it back to working good something else goes tits up on it. Needless to say I really do not like the '06 megacab's at the moment, even if the cab is bigger than my first apartment. :D

DWeaver: Sounds like the kid's Mega Cab don't like your kids, it wants YOUR attention. The only solution? You drive it instead, then Mega Cab will behave while you work on your 1996 project. Oh and to make sure your project truck is good too, keep the kid's hands off. :-laf:-laf

The #@$%! mega did not start the b. s. problems until I started driving it. That is why I have to take care of them. :mad:

:-laf Let's just say on the '96 I am being called a "selfish donkey" by the family. :-laf

MR. B. I have gotten rid of my mega problem and started on the project again, and it is snowing! ;);):D:D

Hey what are you running for drive shafts ? Ive been wondering if Gen 2 or 3 shafts are the same lenghth , my parts truck has the stock gasser size and im not shure if i like that or not

Not in my case. The crew cab is unique, plus dana 80 will need a different U joint than the Gear Vendors on the front and I will need a hanger bearing. Front will need to be longer than normal due to the 5600. Rear will also need to handle some juice.

Will likely get some beafy ones fabricated. Might use some of a Mega cab shaft if it works, if not, from scratch.

Im not shure whats under this 85 its big , it might be a 70 but looks bigger than the one in my 92 ?????????

unless someone swapped it, the 80's gassers came w/ d60 rears even the SRW 350s, the crew i'm converting was a d350 shortbed that had the d60 rear, I traded it off for a dually 70 from a 92 plus 7 coined dually rims :-laf

Its too big to be a 60 thats for shure even the diameter of the axel houseing is bigger it has to be a minimum of a Dana 70 if not ill run it til it breaks

BSchwarzli any updates?<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

I think he needs some encouragement!!! ;)
