3- I need the cab bolts and mounts as frame strength from two spiny thingy twist.

Yeah, it will be a trophy truck for the first summer but I can hardly wait for that day I can actually drive it..... Always wanted to do that with a vehicle I restored. Always thought it would be a Road Runner, Charger, etc.

See if you can find a chassis upfitter to give you a piece of filler hose, they usually don't use all of it when installing bodies. Maybe your friend at the dealer can put you on to somebody.

Well, collected parts all week. Got the fuel hoses, paint for the box underside, fuel line plumbing, etc

So first thing I started off with was to see if the 45 deg hose fits. It does. The part number is on it in the event anyone wants to do this swap at somepoint.

Next was tackling paint. Seems when my truck was repainted, the underside of the box skirts were forgotten. There was still primer onder there. So I picked up matching paint and went to work. You can also see all of the overspray from a crappy masking job whent hey put the lower red band on.

Next in prepping for the box install was to fix this connector. Seemed simple. Get connector off donor and install and then get remaining under box items done, and box is back on this weekend.

Well, I could not find one. So I though it time to pull in the Ramcharger donor and pull it out of there. Story behind the truck is it has so much rust it cant be certified for the road. So I got it for a couple bucks and the tank will eventually go into the 1990 when the Crew is done, and the other parts will either be sold off (if you need any Ramcharger parts let me know!) or if they fit the 1990 (like trim, etc), I will keep it.

Well, this is where the weekend took a different direction.

Seems my water tight parts donar was not so watertight. Was a small puddle I found inside and this is why. Could not even see the rust on the outsude. But this is what I found. Explains where the Ramcharger Atlantic started.







Soooo, I made the choice. As much as I really wanted to finish the back end of the crew, this was in the garage. It did need to be pulled apart. And it should get off my lawn (been there since summer)..... So, thats what I did for the rest of the weekend!

The rust falling off this thing is amazing. More amazing is how it is now all over the garage!!!!





Also a educational shot. People ask why their heater core does not work. I say leaves get in there. People say really? Enough to cause an issue? I will now say look at this picture!!!

And that brings this weekend to a close. Almost finished with the Ramcharger. Need about another few hours and it will be ready for someone to buy the shell as it will still contain the untouched driveline (318 A500).

Nice pics!! Question... I was led to believe that the tank from an 88-93 RC had the same "screw top" module type interface as the 93 cummins tank. It looks like yours does not. I was hoping to use my entire sending unit/pickup assy from my 93 tank and just screw it onto a newer RC tank... but it looks as tho thats not true on your 90 tank. Anyone know if I was led astray entirely?

No. The screw tops (same as the Rams) are from 91-93 only I believe. The tank out of the ramcharger is a 89. The tank in the crew was out of a 90 I believe.



I ran into this when looking for a replacement for my melted tank two years ago. Found out the hard way. Seems only the 91-93 is a screw. All others are clamps.
