I found a guy near here that is dealing ISSPRO guages.

You guys that are running them, are you pleased?

Let me know what you're running (model #'s) and what you think about them.

Do these guages come with sending units or are they a seperate purchase? That kills them in my book if it's seperate.

Still, let me know what you're running.

I purchased a brand new pyrometer off of ebay that turned out to be defective. ISSpro provided great sevice-- they helped me get it running and never asked for documentation. The pyro works great now.

I have ISSPro pyro and boost gauges. Cant remember which ones off hand. The basic model if that helps. Everything I needed came in the packaging minus a few connectors I needed for tapping into power etc. Plenty of wire attached. They've been in for a year and no problems yet.

I got mine at Piersdiesel.com

i bought my isspro guages from genos.com

White faced, can't remember model #'s, but go to genos and chances are that their price will beat your local dealer. I have pyro, boost and trans. All 3 kits came complete, and i love them.

I bought my Isspro EGT, Boost, and Fuel Pressure from Wildcat Diesel. They came complete with everything to hook them up, but I finally got rid of the braided steel fuel line that goes to the fuel pressure guage and replaced it with a rubber one. The steel line transmitted vibration from the injection pump and drove me nuts. I'm pleased with them so far. Some people have complained about the reflection they give off because they have convex lenses, but I don't even notice it unless I'm trying to see my reflection in them.

I have the Isspro Pyro, Boost, Trans Temp and Fuel Pressure EV Marine gauges with white faces and blue backlighted.

My only problem has been an eratic reading trans temp gauge. It will jump all over the place at times until it finally settles into the correct reading:(

Other than that I really like them and the blue back light looks cool at night.

I've got the Isspro EV black with white numbers. Looks as close as factory gauges as I've seen so far. I still need to get the blue/green bulbs to make it match at night, but otherwise, I like them.

I got mine through Piers Diesel. The fuel pressure kit comes with every thing you'll need to install it. The isolator is a well built peice and my fuel pressure gauge operates very smooth.

Here's a pic if your interested in seeing them.

Love the boost and pyro in the '93 so much I just ordered speedo, tach, fuel, oil, boost, pyro, water, and volt + misc for the conversion. Using the standard face because I could not get what I needed in EVA. Using e-gauges.com

I have Isspro gauges, and am a big fan. They have outstanding customer service, and have always treated me right. I have the following models:

R607VW pyrometer (post-turbo)

R5621 oil pressure

R5613 turbo boost

R5659 transmission oil temp

The pyrometer I bought from Piers as a special order. Send away for the Isspro catalog... it has instructions for ordering a pyrometer (you must select the thermocouple, lead wire, and pyrometer each according to your needs). I bought a 10-ft lead wire with quick-disconnects and an adjustable k-type thermocouple (1/8 NPT). I can provide those part numbers if you want.

The only gauge I had any trouble with is oil pressure. The sending unit is so sensitive, I was picking up all sorts of pressure spikes, and the needle would jump all over the place. They sent me a new one, and after a few weeks it was doing the same as the old one. So on a hunch I mounted the sender at the end of 3-ft of hydraulic hose. Now it's steady as a rock. :)

Anyway, I love the Isspro, and plan to outfit the truck with R607T pre-turbo pyrometer, an engine oil temperature gauge, and some air pressure gauges (as soon as Kilby finishes the onboard air system for 3g's).

anyone ever have any problems with the fuel pressure gauge leaking at the rear? My fittings are tight and sealed but after a few days I have fuel at the back of the gauge. It's only 4 months old!

I had the same problem with the fuel pressure gauge. I took it out and removed the teflon tape and used a paste type sealer made for petrol. applications. Thought it was the gauge and called Wildcat about the leak. They sent me a new gauge from Isspro and now I have a spare. Great customer service.

I had ISSPRO standard gauges in my '99, they were kind of hard to see at night.

I put ISSPRO EV gauges in the'01, and loved them. Real easy to see and didn't give me any problems.

Summit or someone was having a sale on Autometer gauges when I needed some for the '95 so I bought them. The ones I got were not anywhere near as easy to see as the ISSPRO EV's.

On my current truck I'm back to the ISSPRO EV's. I've never had a problem with any of the guages I've bought, and my brother now owns the '01 and my brother-in-law now owns the '95 so I'd hear about it if they weren't working.

Go for the ISSPRO EV's, you'll like them.

Anyone have pictures of the EV's? seems like isspro's site didn't have any loaded yet. And can they be color matched to the dash?

I don't have any pictures at this moment, but I'll take some tonight for you and get them posted this evening or in the morning. I think they match the dash pretty well with the orange pointers and green bulb covers. Most people that get in my truck think they are stock and ask why they have never seen anyone else's truck with them.

This is an old thread but I installed my gages today in the dash, Isspro, matches the factory gages perfect. I'm trying to figure out where to install my transmission temp sensor, anyone done this on the 48re?? Also it seems like to leads I got with the gage is going to be too short, where did you mount the signal conditioner box? I already love the looks of them, just want to finish. Thanks. John

Hey Ropin'

I just installed my Isspro gauges and I put the transmission temp probe in a pressure testing port on the rear passenger side of the trans. It's a 1/8" pipe plug you have to remove. The probe went right in and seems to work great. I was a little worried because I got no temp response for several miles. Then as the engine started to warm up I started to get a reading. Yes you will have to extend the lead wires. I did it with crimp connectors. seems to work just fine.

I got the idea from another member who has pictures on his reader's rigs gallery. The plug is not hard to locate. It's the only one on rear passenger side of the casing.

good luck.
