Working on a front bumper cam. Bought the new front RAM emblem with camera and a less than 15 buck 4.3" LCD display. Got it working on the desk in the office. Trying to decide where to put the little display.

Very interested in your RDS tank install this is the exact tank I want to do also.

Do have anymore photos of the install? Any tips or issues you ran into?

I have the b&w companion hitch and it seems this narrow tank is the only one that will fit infront of the hitch base.
Would like the the fuel tank tool box combo but cant find one that will work.

Thanks

Plenty of room for the 45 gal RDS plus my Husky tool box; as seen in photo. The two combined take up 30.5" of bed space, leaving plenty of room for the 5th wheel puck mount B&W in my long bed. Short bed results likely differ.

Install is easy, just 3 bolts to hold it down, a 1" hole in the side of bed to run the fuel line, and cut about 4" off the lower end of the solid section of the fuel fill to mount the RDS fuel fill adapter "T".

Soon it will be looking down at Prius hoods a few inches away!!!! Or were you refering to the Mini Wheats box in the picture. SNOKING

Took my truck into my dealership for service to fix the right side rear air bag. Turns out it was a faulty valve. Out the door 1/2 hr later!

Oh...and while there, the General Manager of the Dealership handed me a check for half of the cost of my BD Throttle Sensitivity Booster and switch. No charge for the install the other day! What a great Dealership!

Installed camera today. Tape measure on the floor is extended 12". So about 4-6" is showing into camera view. I think we are going to like it. The display can support two cameras, so I may install a second to look at the hitch.

I moved the 90/91 fuse to turn on the rear seat 12v outlet to be on all the time, and then pulled the 12v source from the switched side through a 2 amp fuse. I put the display on a mini toggle switch on the side of the console. Snoking

About how far from the corners is that view?

I will pull up in front of our SUV today and take more pictures. Picture was grainy because of low light in the garage without head lights on and taken in a hurry.

I finished up yesterday afternoon late and was tired. May do a little rewiring! Right now the camera gets power whenever the trucks is running and only the display is switched on and off on the switch I installed in the side of the console in a snap on panel.

People that work under dash of these truckx most have to wear one of the mesh shark suits, never seen so many razor sharp edges! And I am on warfarin blood thinner.

I realize that, fuse taps are just an easier, cleaner means of tapping into a circuit. It was just a suggestion for next time or other readers.

Might be hard to find one for this little fuses used on the latest gen trucks? And I accomplished two things. I made the rear 12V hot all the time and had a switched unused terminal available! SNOKING

69,000 miles, and my rear brakes were shot! but, it wasn't due to heavy braking, it was due to the calipers seizing on the sliders, even heating with a torch wouldn't free them up. Expensive brake job, but now everything moves freely and might just get a little better fuel mileage out of it.

Ok, pulled up behind the passengers corner of the SUV in the garage.

Put a lock on the fuel filler door. I used a cabinet door lock. It catches the lip of the bed side sheet metal.
