BANKS cooler issue..

I don't think they're enjoying it much. I know I wouldn't enjoy getting smacked down by the "new guy". Especially not when Google could have saved me the embarrassment of getting OWNED on the same forums where I'd recently been wondering what the "new guy" was doing on these discussion forums. But some people are gluttons for punishment.

Not that you will believe it, this is the correct way to list fulfillment. The 48RE first came mid year 2003. There was no 48RH because everything was computerized by then.

The history is that the after market guys were building better trannies than Dodge. I am sure they they took a peek in one and applied it them self and relabeled it from the 47RE to the 48RE.

Of course after market had been building the grandfather 727 for years.

I was so busy owning you on the 48RH thing that I completely forgot your OTHER brilliant comment "wondering" how I got the transmission information from my VIN. Seriously? You REALLY don't know that you can email your VIN to Chrysler and they'll email you a copy of your truck's OPTION LIST? They call it a BUILD SHEET. It's what the FACTORY generates when an ORDER comes in for a NEW VEHICLE so they know WHAT TO PUT ON IT. Did you think they just go over to the parts shed and grab whatever is handy? I knew about build sheets in high school and I even learned where manufacturers HIDE them in a vehicle. Or not really "hide" so much as stuff in a handy spot where it's not going to disappear from the truck before it gets loaded for delivery. Some vehicles come with 2 o 3. I'm more of a Chevy fan than a Dodge fan when the engine isn't a factor, so I studied up on where Chevy puts build sheets and when I got my first pickup, a 1980 Chevy K10, I KNEW to look under the seat between the springs and cushion. Guess what? IT WAS THERE. But I have to hand it to you. I have NEVER come across any REAL gearhead that doesn't know about option lists and build sheets before. You are the FIRST. But maybe you're not a real gearhead. What was that you were saying yesterday about not knowing why I'm posting e on these forums? I ALMOST feel sorry for you. But then I just remember that you'd rather spend your time on your little cartoons than actually learning something.

P.S. - here's the option list for my '02. I didn't save the info for my '94, but if you REALLY want me to, I can get it again and own you with it all over again. If you look REAL hard at THIS ONE you can even see the TRANSMISSION MODEL. I went ahead and left the actual VIN off when I copied it. Something tells me there's people around here JUST screwy enough to try to do something stupid with it. I'd give you the actual email address, but I know you'd just run around the internet on the Dodge forums acting like you figured it out all by yourself.

Where did you get your average? I LOVE how you're trying to rewrite history with a description of symptoms you never included before. But guess what? I've seen those EXACT same symptoms on those injectors I CAN'T FIX by flushing them. Did you think we're flushing injectors on engines that are running FINE? Not so much. They can have anything from an intermittent off-and-on "flutter" to a FUEL KNOCK because they're "failed" and injecting TOO MUCH fuel compared to the others. It only takes a 2 or 3% difference in delivery from the others to make a NOTICEABLE difference. At least to a TRAINED EAR. But I'm glad to see you're once again REPEATING what I've already said and trying to use it to prove me wrong. Because I mentioned those EXACT SAME injector issues when I said that THOSE ISSUES do NOT mean an injector has failed. I'm SURE you already know this, but a FAILED injector will SET A CODE. In fact, it's possible for EACH injector to set 2 or 3 different codes depending on what's wrong with it. And do you know what? I can connect to the machine, enter diagnostic tests and do a FEW different test to DIAGNOSE the failure. I can cut out injectors and look at engine speed and load data AND fuel flow to determine which injector is the problem AND I can run an engine misfire test where the ECU cuts out an injector each time I run the throttle to high idle and back. What does THAT do? It tells me how much each injector is contributing to engine performance UNDER LOAD. Are you starting to realize that this is only going to get worse the longer you refuse to just leave me alone? I don't know what your problem with me is but I really think you should get over it and try to ENJOY your time here rather than waste it on some misguided quest to prove me wrong or run me off or whatever it is you're trying to do. It doesn't really matter because you're going to fail. Believe me, I have NO problem with being wrong and it happens all the time. I can deal with it. REAL mechanics can. And I also have no intention whatsoever of letting a couple of cyber-stalkers with burrs in their butts and a hard-on for someone they don't even know, run me off a discussion forum I paid to join. And I'll let you in on a little secret. I have NO problem sinking down to YOUR level and I will enjoy every minute of it. I can start searching your comments and lighting you up on PROBABLY every one of them if you don't have anything better than you've showed me so far. I used to hang out on the YT tractor forums and when a bunch of us that tended to "disagree" finally got sick of being censored by the moderators there, we just started our own "bashing board" where literally ANYTHING was fair game and THAT was the most interesting, entertaining and EDUCATIONAL board I've EVER been on. It was a bunch of farmers and mechanics and gearheads just letting it fly and beyond some loose "guidelines" about not involving family and such, which were unneeded anyway, there was no mercy. And all we talked about was tractors, cars, trucks, etc. And I'll tell you right now were PLENTY of guys smarter than you that left that board and never came back after a day or two. They saw "tractor bashing board" and thought they were really going to be able to use their "knowledge" to kick some discussion forum @ss. It didn't work, and we could tell by there responses that they were almost crying as they typed them. So if you want a "flame war", I'm your huckleberry.

Yeah. That's why you can find references to 48RH trannies all over the internet. Your "history" seems to conflict with FACTS. And since I've seen on DODGE PAPERWORK "48RH" I KNOW you don't know what you're talking about. But if you're so convinced you're right, let's put $1000 on it right here and now. If the 48RE was a BRAND NEW transmission, like all you "experts" claim, WHY would they call it a 48RE and not come up with a different, NEW designation for it so they could CLAIM it was different and new? This is going to be FUN. I've waited a LONG TIME for a wannabe diesel expert who talks trash to diesel mechanics and yet thinks he is one to screw up BAD ENOUGH that it's like a PUBLIC SERVICE to expose him. I await the great Mired One to post a link to a Dodge/Ram site that list anything about a 48RH transmission. Or maybe just a transmission internal parts supply house that show any thing for your one off transmission. If you would have read the post about the difference between the 47RE and 48RE, then you would see that there is/was no 48RH. I will sleep you read. Chris
