Competition NADM / COMP D Invitationals

Competition 11.33 in the 1/4 with a vp-44 diesel only

A majority of the OTR trucks (tractor trailer trucks) have inline engines in them. If that means anything...

However nwpadmax makes a valid point.

You also have to look at it this way, no telling how many people applied. The mag chooses who gets to go, and if they only have so many slots, they have to pick someone. Can't let several hundred people show up, the logistics would be impossible. Plus, you can't just choose all Cummins or just all Dmaxis. Have to cater to the whole crowd to run a successful mag. Don't get me wrong, I wish a Cummins would have won too, thats why I have my slip ready to go in the mail already. Don't think I'll win, but I definitely want to give it a shot!

Congrats Mike, that truck is pretty awesome, you can't deny it's well rounded, it pulls a sled better than most of us, it gets great fuel mileage and it won the East Coast Challenge. :{ Nice work

I don't think there are any current OTR V8 Cats out there right now and the Macks aren't known as the biggest dog on the block.

After watching your video Mike, I also noticed the track for the sledpull was pretty rough, you looked like you were bouncing quite a bit. I've pulled the sled a few times and know how much more difficult it is when your bouncing all over the place. Congrats! If I didn't have a Cummins, Duramax would be my next choice.....

Bragging about someone elses truck, huh? MTomac, that sure does resemble a white d-max that won the west challenge, same tires, stance, model, hp about the same, it could be the same truck painted red, funny thing that. But seriously, the chevy guys deserve cred for coming up with a good combo and tuning package, it's great to have competition, and i'd like to someday run with the crowd in a butt kicker of my own, keep those pockets deep.

RailroadJim, I helped some of the west coast Duramaxes get their trucks setup for pulling, including Nick.

Do they even have sled pullers on the west coast? :) Tomac has been at it a long time. I remember when he used to pull the trailer to the pulls with the puller.

theres been a couple of local pulls around here in the valley recently. One in Newman a month ago and one in Atwater last weekend. Rumor has it that people are trying to start a pulling gig once a month around here. There small events but seems that more trucks are showing up. Lot the guys that are showing up are the ones that are in the building up process. I believe Damico was there in newman. It was kind of funny actually, you had all these locals with there small budget build up trucks pulling and then comes this dmax with a full pull and then some. UUHHHH everybody was like... . what was that. I thought that was cool a big name truck showing up to a local event.

son did ok on the farmall this year, 3 hooks we got a little tuning to dial it in we are suppose to go for a few hooks here soon with a few smokers trying to dial in. We had a problem in Newman the boys needle and seat stuck so the tractor died half track right when the front end was off the ground a foot or so, so he was really let down, you'd be proud we can get pretty greedy on gears so its got the power. As for little jsilva handed them their butts at atwater... truck is starting to come on, we are gonna do some pump work to his 24v, I think we might slide the stock plate on it for starters, he has a serious axe to grind this year dont know why but we are gonna do a few things hopefully. .

to all the easterners californians will get even with y'all. . we are just sending all our laws and regulations to the 49 states. if thats not poetic justice I don't know what is lol
