I hear 295 75 R16 is the biggest you can go and still be able to mount the spare between the frame rails. Well, I like the 315's (already have the 2" leveling kit in a box) and am wondering where to keep the spare. Or, should I just get 4-315's and keep the 265 underneath. Then if I have a flat on the back w/ the LSD move a front tire back there and place the odd sized 265 on the front?

I think a 295 will fit only if it's been worn down. I've heard some people state that a 295 will not fit in between the rails.

I just picked up a spare 8" aluminum rim that I'm trying to find a used 295 to mount so I can have a real full size spare.

IMHO I would find a 5th matching wheel, put the 315 on it so you have a fullsize spare and mount it inside the bed. That way if you ever have a tire blow up beyond repair just put the spare on and get a different spare. And you'll get better wearability by rotating the spare w/ the rest of the tires. JM2C
