You mentioned a "new" ebrake for the eth engine. I called Cummins, Pacbrake and BD asking about the eht turbo housing and they all said it will be the same as the other engines. What information do you haave regarding this new engine brake?

Larry. I first read about the change here on one of the posts. Try the search feature. Additionally, I called our local Cummins shop and he confirmed that a new one is available for the ETH (P/N 3800780 ?). This brake is suppose to work on non ETH engines as well, so I'm not quite sure what the differences are. If you get it through the Cummins shop it should be about $650.

Thanks for your information, I am glad to have the forum for this information. I too saw aomething on one of the posts, it wasn't clear to me so I called the cummins 800 number and got the run around, guy said he knew nothing about another ebrake. It was the same in regards to the changes for the ETH, they pretended to not even know about the uprate, although some posts on another thread have given some good information.
Thanks Larry

Larry. One of our other members has sent me email about the new E-brake (he already has one). He says that there are some definite diferences between the new style E-brake and the old (and the other brands). I would imagine that the new brake will become better known as the ETH's start rolling out. I'm like you though, I wan'it now!
