which exhaust give a note like the 2nd generation

Well I hated to see my 01 go, but I really like my 06 megacab. My wife and I really miss the exhaust note the last one had under WOT. I had the banks exhaust on the last one but would like to put dual tips on this one. Or just one. Which system would you recommend? Also can you delete the kitty, I forgot the 06 they put that on there.

Cutting out the CAT and adding aftermarket muffler will cause highway drone.



I bought two (wasted money) different mufflers and didn't like either one.



I ended up mounting the CAT back in and leaving the muffler out. Sounds a 100 times better than stock and no drone.



You could spend all the money you'd like but it will never have the 2nd Gen sound.

Id leave the cat and straight pipe the rest, that how my mega was, no highway drone, was just rite!

Do as they say above leave the kitty alone and strait pipe it. Now if you want it to sound like a 2nd gen you need a 2nd gen exaust manifold Source Automotive put one on mine when I upgraded my turbo and I wanted to keep my exaustbrake and not beat the firewall in.
